General Requirements
From August 1, 2022, all passengers are allowed to enter Malaysia regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status and do not require a pre-departure or on-arrival COVID-19 test. There are no quarantine orders related to COVID-19 enforced by the Malaysian Government upon arrival. As per September 28, 2022, the use of face masks is also no longer required on flights due to the relaxation announced by the Health Ministry of Malaysia.
Immigration Requirements
Upon arrival at KLIA, passengers will be directed to the immigration checkpoints.
- Non-Malaysian passengers will be required to present their passports and relevant travel documents to the immigration officers for processing. The immigration officers will then stamp the passport with the appropriate entry permit, which will allow the passenger to enter Malaysia.
- It is important for passengers to ensure that they have all the necessary documents, including: a valid passport, visa (if required), and any other relevant documents such as travel itineraries or accommodation bookings, before arriving at KLIA.

Transit Requirements
For passengers traveling from an international location to another international destination: The duration of transit should not exceed 24 hours.
For passengers traveling from an international location to a domestic destination: Passengers must ensure they have all the necessary documents and their connecting flight ticket to proceed to their next flight.
