Eid 2025 Train Tickets

Welcoming the 2025 Eid homecoming period, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has prepared around 3.8 to 4 million tickets to serve the needs of the community. Train tickets for homecoming go on sale 45 days before Eid 2025, which is expected to fall on March 31 2025. 

 

Ticket sales start on February 4 2025. Ticket orders can be made via the KAI Access application, the official PT KAI website, as well as other online ticket booking platform partners such as tiket.com.

 

During the homecoming period, PT KAI will also increase the number of train trips to anticipate a high increase in passengers. Apart from that, the company will operate additional Eid 2025 trains on favorite routes such as Jakarta-Surabaya, Jakarta-Yogyakarta, and Bandung-Semarang.

 

To anticipate a surge in passengers, KAI is providing additional trains for Eid 2025. KAI is preparing 1,080 additional train trips with a total capacity of 538,280 seats. If you add regular train tickets, the total seating capacity provided by KAI for the Eid 2025 period reaches 4,568,838 seats.

 

In terms of number of trips, KAI operates 8,492 trips for regular trains and 1,080 trips for additional trains. With this additional trip, it is hoped that people will have more freedom in choosing a departure schedule according to their needs.

 

Additional train tickets for Eid 2025 will go on sale on Sunday, 23 February 2025 at 00.00 WIB. This ticket is valid for departures from D-10 of Eid (21 March 2025) to H+8 of Eid (9 April 2025). Meanwhile, for H+9 (10 April 2025) and H+10 (11 April 2025) travel, ticket reservations can be made on 24 and 25 February 2025.

 

Another good news is that train ticket prices for the Eid 2025 period will certainly not increase. BUMN Minister, Erick Thohir, stated that the government is committed to maintaining price stability for transportation modes during the homecoming season, including trains. 

 

To support smooth ordering, PT KAI will implement a digital queuing system. This system aims to minimize technical obstacles and provide a more comfortable experience for customers when purchasing tickets, especially in the early days of sales which are usually very busy. This queuing system is similar to the method of purchasing concert tickets, where buyers will be served in turns according to the online queue order.
