Surabaya Kota Station (SB)

Surabaya Kota Station (SB) is a large type B station located at 9 Station Kota Street, Bongkaran, Pabean Cantikan, Surabaya, East Java. Also known as "Semut Station," it was built in 1870 as the first railway station owned by Staatsspoorwegen, the operator of railways in the Dutch East Indies.

 

The station features twelve railway tracks, but passenger arrivals and departures are only conducted on four tracks. Long-distance train journeys served by this station are limited to one train. Meanwhile, the main activities at this station are dominated by the local commuter for Supas, Jenggala, Dhoho, Penataran, and Tumapel lines.

 

Surabaya Kota Station also serves overnight freight trains carrying baggage for the southern Java route.
