The entire experience with this tour was wonderful! The booking process was seamless. On the day of the tour, the driver had no issue picking us up from our AirBnB. It was a join-in tour so there were 2 other families as well. After about an hours driver, we arrived at the pier where we docked the boat to Bako National Park. Then we embarked on a wildlife observation journey led by a local and experienced tour guide. We saw wild boars, proboscis monkeys, flying lemus, pit viper, and various types of small crabs. The scenery was beautiful, the park was verdant, the beach was pristine and undisturbed; it felt like we were in Shangri-la! Needless to say, we had an awesome time. Because the day of our tour was rainy, and the trail was moderate and at times strenous, here are a few recommendations for the potential travelers: (1) wear protective clothing such as long sleeves top, long pants, closed-toes shoes to protect yourself from protruding brances, insects, and loose pebbles, (2) bring a poncho (the tour guide did provide us with raincoat, but I wish I had a thicker poncho with me so it could cover my backpack and make it easier for me to reach for my stuff when needed to), (3) lastly, bring a medium size towel, because on the return trip, we had to get onto the boat from the beach and so we had to take off our shoes and step into the water. All in all, it is a highly recommended trip!

Highly recommend and the entire experience was wonder. I want to highlight our tour guide, Jo, who is an expert of the park. He managed to spot many rare wildlife and flora species during the tour. The lunch provided was Malay-style fried rice which was yummy as well.
