Legend says that if you begin drinking in Pirate's Alley and make your way to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, the ghost of Jean Lafitte will greet you when you get there. Many a visitor has witnessed the apparitions of pirates running in the alley then disappearing late in the evening.
