Explore the beautiful Vientiane city on bike with this half-day guided bike tour. The tour starts with a pick up from your hotel in the city. From there, you'll be given your bike and helmet, and then you'll explore the rest of the city on bike. First up: Wat Si Saket, the oldest temple that survived the Siamese war of 1828. Inside, you'll see more than 8000 Buddha statues lining the walls! From there, you'll cycle all the way to Wat Ho Phra Keo, which was once the home-temple of the Emerald Buddha or Ho Phra Keo from the early 18th century, and Patuxai (Arch de Triumph), which was just recently built as a way to honor those who died during past wars. Afterwards, ride to That Luang Stupa, the most important monument in all of Laos - built to cover the original stupa that is said to contain a piece of the chest bone of Buddha. Your next and final stop for the day is Mekong River, the seventh longest in Asia, where you'll enjoy a peaceful stroll before you head back to the city.
