The Apartment itself is new, clean and nicely appointed. Very comfortable bed and pillows. However the process of getting into the apartment was not as pleasant. I arrive at approx 23:30 at night. The Entrance to the building was not lit at all. The lift lobby was pitch black. the lift was old and poorly lit. Upon reaching the 7th floor, the lift opens to another pitch black area I was suppose to locate a lockbox in this pitch black area to access keys into the apartment's common area (there are 6 apartments accessed through a common security door). I located the security door keys in the dark which luckily opened to a well lit area. The key to my apartment was suppose to be in a lockbox in this well lit area However, the instructions of the lockbox location was incorrect. I spend 10 minutes looking and finally found the lockbox in the pitch dark 7th floor lift area. The whole experience would have been quite dramatic if I was participating in a horror themed escape room. When I finally get into the apartment, I am confronted by a huge cockroach in the walk in wordrobe!! Luckily, there was a vacuum which I used to capture the critter. I emailed customer service about my experience the very next day (not asking for compensation). They replied: - There are lights with motion sensors in the supposed unlit areas - Insist there is nothing wrong with the check-in instructions given - Did not apologize/acknowledge about the cockroach Quite disappointing response.
