Overall a truly lovely location to stay. We had a great time. Staff friendly and helpful everyone wanted to discuss credit!, offered directionsassistance without a prompt. Waechtersbach is a fantastic small base to explore Bavaria. I have friends who live nearby. Their house is too small to fit me in and they recommended it.

For a special family reunion, nine cousins stayed at zur Quelle. It was very cozy and clean for us. The proprietors, dreamers, and staff greeted us warmly and helpfully. I was constantly woken up by the sounds of church bells and roosters in my room, which overlooked stunning farmland. Particularly the breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sliced meat, cheese, fruit, and excellent bread, the cuisine was fantastic. Dinners were really well cooked and tasty. There are a variety of schnitzel, rump steaks, and small meals. I enjoyed the venison ragout, red cabbage, and rinzwurst with bread with mustard. Ice cream sundaes were available as desserts, but I wanted hot chocolate instead. It can be purchased in a regular or large cup. Theyll deliver a little cup if you ask for more shag real whipped cream if you want it more. A menu in English is available. Be sure and stay at zur quelle if you are in the area. You wont be disappointed.

My brothers and I lived near this hotel and we stayed there both in September 2010 and March 2014. The rooms were spotlessly clean and welcoming both times. The staff was warm and friendly and went above and beyond to assist us in any way they could. My husband speaks German but I don't, and the staff is equally friendly and helpful to both of us. The location is close to a railway station and some shopping. I felt safe running in the mornings. Our kids love that it is right next to a farm and enjoy watching the animals. The breakfast is generous and filling, including great coffee! I would choose to stay here over an American chain hotel any day.

This hotel offers an excellent value for money in terms of rooms, prices, staff, food, and location. Located in a small village on the outskirts of a small town, one gets a wonderful taste of life in a small German community. There are many things to do and see in the surrounding area. We would return at any time.
