This is the place that you need to stay at when visiting Santorini. First and foremost, Effi and all of the staff are the most hospitable people I have ever met. Effi provided her WhatsApp and was very responsive with any request. If you need help with airport transfers or recommendations they will make it happen. Breakfast is brought to you every single day and they will ask you what time you would like it. It was delicious pastries, croissants, hard boiled eggs, fruits, ham and cheese sandwiches, coffee and orange juice. Of course you are supplied with jams, honey, butter, cream, and sugar. We were welcomed with Vinsanto wine (dessert wine) and had assistance with carrying our luggage. We booked the luxury suite with the private pool and it was very clean. The AC work wonderfuly well if you are not used to the warm climate. The location is perfect, it is a 15 minute walk to Fira which is the main city for shopping and a 20 minute walk to Imerovigili which has beautiful sunset restaurants and views. It was truly an amazing stay and we hope to someday return.

It is a really amazing place to stay, great view of the sea and sunset, especially when you enjoy the hot tub. Very good service, clean house, nice breakfast. Everything is amazing!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Smaro. Mike was exceptionally helpful in assisting with our travel plans. He helped to arrange a catamaran tour as well as the rental of an ATV to explore the island. I would recommend both. All other staff were lovely and helpful as well. The room view was to die for, our caldera view was spectacular. Breakfast was served fresh at our room out on the terrace. There is not a lot of room for your clothing and bags but you can make do. Thank you very much to the staff for a fabulous experience!

Our stay at Smaro was phenomenal from the moment they met us out front and brought our bags to our room. The location was perfect for us, close enough to everything but just off to the side to not be overcrowded. Breakfast brought directly to your room each morning was probably the highlight.

Stayed in the luxury suite at Smaro studios for a few nights may 2026. 2 staff were waiting on the main road for our taxi and collected our bags and showed us straight to the apartment. The staff told us everything we needed to know and showed us the free mini bar which included wine,water,beer,cola and peanuts. The jacuzzi and terrace area have a great view, however it does feel private. The breakfast every morning was delivered direct to our door and included, boiled eggs, pastries, bread and something sweet as well as tea,orange . We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the local area which had everything you need within very short distance

Staff was super nice and helped us book our transfer to and from the airport, and were also super friendly during our stay. Breakfast was similar every morning but it was a wide variety of different foods given to us and it was all very delicious. The view was breathtaking and honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited. 100% would recommend this to anyone.

Smaro Studios is in Firastefani which is quieter than Fira itself. This suited us well and it's any easy walk to Fira...they essentially merge. It is a lovely property with an amazing view over the caldera. The room was very clean and well maintained with everything we required. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served every morning to the table just outside the room. It was a substantial meal which we could enjoy whilst taking in an amazing view. The position of the rooms means it's very well shaded in the morning...jumper a must. There is a small hot tub available for general use. It looked very clean but we didn't use it. April was a good time to visit, but even so, on one day there were 3 cruise ships in creating big crowds and groups. Food is really expensive. Good restaurants down by the little harbour at the bottom of the cable car. Great walk from Fira to Oia...very exposed so use plenty of sun screen.

The studio was spotless clean and very comfortable. The caldera view from there is amazing. We had breakfast served to the room every morning. The staff was very attentive and friendly, they let us check in a couple of hours early and leave our lugagge for a few hours after check out.
