I would absolutely recommend Castello Vicchiomaggio! Our room was magnificent and much larger than anticipated— very clean, had all the extras we needed (hair dryer/iron/etc), and the air conditioning worked great! The property is gorgeous and the view is unbeatable. In addition to visiting the tasting room on the property, we also visited several wineries in the area throughout our stay (Antinori and Castello Verrazzano) and it was a great home base. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant one night (delicious!) and the included breakfast was a great perk. The pool area is also very nice and they provided a pool bag and extra towels in our room to use there. We were also very charmed by the sweet cat that lives on the grounds and the birds (house martins) that were in the area during the time of our stay! The staff was always helpful and kind— I have nothing but great things to say. One warning: our room was on the third floor of the building and there are no elevators. Luckily my husband was with me and able to haul our luggage up the tight stairs. If you have mobility issues, I would recommend asking for a room on a lower floor.

A propriedade é linda ! Parecia que havíamos voltado no tempo. Quartos amplos e limpos. Decoração e móveis antigos. Existe uma capela no imóvel. Uma vinicola para adquirir os produtos. A piscina tem uma visão de tirar o fôlego. Atendimento perfeito, feito pela funcionária Débora. O hotel fica a uns 15 minutos da cidade de Panzano, onde fomos degustar a carne maravilhosa do Sr Dario Cecchini.

LOVED our stay. I can’t describe how perfect our stay was. It was more beautiful than the pics we’d seen on hotels.com. Beautiful spacious room/apartment. Fabulous dinner in the restaurant, wine tour & tasting. Very helpful staff. Absolutely stunning views. Convenient parking, close to Greve, the town. Perfection.

if you plan to leave the property know that there aren't many taxi or Ubers available and you will spend a lot of money alone on transportation. the rooms were cheap but the rides were more so in all fairness I would stay closer to Florence where there is more available transportation like a bus route. it took a long time to find a taxi to the train station and we spent almost double what we paid for the stay just to get a ride.

The property is perched on a mountain top with an amazing view of the vineyards. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a living room and our windows opened out to the vineyards. Definitely breathing taking! We got a free bottle of Rose upon check in which was fantastic! The property is well kept and has lots of gathering areas and chairs outside to relax from and enjoy the magnificent view. The breakfast which was included with the stay was okay. The property was about 10 mins drive away from the town which was very convenient. Villa Costanza Park and ride was only 25 minutes drive away which was convenient way to visit Firenze for a day if you're staying at the property. Great experience overall. Would definitely stay here again when I come back in Tuscany.

This beautiful property stole our hearts back in 2019, when my now-wife first visited this magical place. Six years later, we returned — this time to celebrate our wedding reception after tying the knot a few months earlier. From start to finish, everything was beyond wonderful. A special mention to Sandra, the amazing coordinator who made everything run so smoothly, and her fantastic team — Delfina and the lovely lady (whose name, unfortunately, I’ve forgotten) who graciously welcomed and ushered our guests upon arrival. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The food and Chianti wines during our celebration were absolutely exceptional — truly a highlight that everyone still talks about! The breakfast and dinner staff were attentive, kind, and ensured everything was perfect throughout our stay. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with housekeeping doing a fantastic job. We also had the privilege of meeting Mr. John Matta, the owner — such a gracious and inspiring man who leads an extraordinary team. All of our guests loved their stay, and we left with hearts full of joy and gratitude. We can’t wait to come back again — hopefully for our anniversary next time.

This is a castle built on the top of a hill in the 12th century, so the architecture is stunning. The building itself has been updated so all the comforts of modern life are present. On premise winery offers great tours and wine. The on premise included breakfast was excellent. Parking was free and easy. Fantastic place! We hope to return with a big group of friends soon.
