I could not think anything better. The location is literally next to the biggest temple in Nagano and on the main historical road. The breakfast is traditional japanese which is the perfect opportunity to try local cousine. Staff very very kind.

We loved everything about our stay here. The room was comfortable and clean, the onsen was great, the staff, service and breakfast outstanding. This is a very traditional ryokan hotel in a wonderful location, very close to the Zenkōji temple and Nakamise St.

善光寺の中にあるくらいです。凄い観光に最適です。 0歳児、3歳児の子連れでしたが、スタッフさんが親切で問題なかったです。駐車場の場所が宿まで歩いて1〜2分です、分かりづらいですが、電話すると来てくださり教えてくれました。

The building is old but well maintained. Nagano station is a straight 20 minute walk away and is very centrally located to many sightseeing spots and tourist attractions. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It had a real family run atmosphere. They were very nonjapanese guest friendly, including tattoos at their hot spring bath. The bath wasnt huge, it could fit four adult men in at once, if you are comfortable being close to each other. The room was comfortable and warm. Towels, razors and hairbrushes were available, but you must bring your own toiletries. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!.

If you want to experience an authentic japanese ryokan, you cant go wrong with this place. Its an old wooden house just steps from a large Buddhist temple, offers excellent service, and provides a communal bathhouse, making it a perfect way to end a long day. Although our room didnt have a bathroom, there was a shared bathroom just outside, and using it was never an issue. We also tried the kaiseki supper, which was a great meal, definitely a musttry.

Menginap selama 1 malam di perjalanan akhir pekan ke Nagano. Pada hari pertama kami pergi ke Togakushi untuk makan soba dan keesokan paginya kami mendengarkan cerita pagi. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Excellent location. Despite the language ambiguity, the owners were really helpful. It was very touching that my grandfather drove me to show me where to park and how to get back to the inn. When we were returning to nagano station, they even arranged a taxi for us. It has a fantastic location, is central to naganos top attractions, and offers stunning views. We were fortunate to witness snow overnight in both winter and normal seasons in nagano.

The entire ryokan experience, especially kaiseki, was outstanding. Amazing setting, within a stones throw from zenkoji temple, offering the chance to visit at night for morning prayers and once the street lights up during the day.

A wonderful location in the heart of the zenkoji temple district. Experience a traditional stay in a familyrun old ryokan. Feel welcomed at all times, the staff does their best to understand english and is very helpful with any requests. They also warm your room before you return home. We felt at home and already miss ryokan and nagano!.

The staff is welcoming and kind, this is a family run business for 6 generations! The half board breakfast and dinner are exceptional, kaiseki style and every dish is presented beautifully. The location is right on the ometesando, lots of foot traffic but quiet. Futons are comfortable. We loved our stay and want to go back!
