This is an excellent location to stay because it is directly across the road from the train stop, and don't worry because the trains don't run overnight, the food is wonderful, but don't anticipate anything western, you are in a Roman in Japan after all there is a tourist information office next door where some English is spoken, and it's a great base for exploring other postal towns up and down the rail line. We visited nara, tsumago, and madame in one day, but it requires your schedule for bus and train, as most romans in this area do not accept credit cards, so you have to pay cash, which is nearly impossible for foreign tourists. So, before you travel, consider using an online booking site and paying with a credit card before you travel, and save yourself a lot of stress. Before we traveled to the Roman, we weren't aware of this. We made a significant savings and booked a larger room in Japanese style due to the fact that the roman was already nearly fully booked, so I can't say what the smaller rooms are like. However, no matter where you stay in Japan, small rooms will be encountered wherever you are in Japan. Also, remember to add a bathroom when it is expressed in square feet square meters, despite our luck and locating a staff member who spoke some English, the proprietors don't speak

Highly recommended. This was the best roman on Narasendo Way. The Roman was close to the station, but the room was very quiet. The room also had a bathroom, shower, and hot tub. The meals were excellent, especially the breakfast.

Despite our inability to speak much Japanese, the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. We made sure to have a private start and that the rooms were comfortable in traditional Japanese style. The meals were excellent once again traditional Japanese cuisine. Many tiny tasty portions were served with a smile and an explanation of what it was and how to eat it in English. Truly a great supper and breakfast. Highly recommended, right across the street from the local train station but not noisy at all.

This hotel is great. One of the few rooms that had a bathroom was where we stayed. Due to the small size, the room I stayed in was quite cramped, so I wouldn't suggest you stay there. However, if you can get a larger Japanese modern-style suite, the experience will be far superior and well worth the additional cost. Dinners were of very high quality and served in attractive dishes. Unlike elsewhere in Japan, the service was a little rushed. In order to pay with a credit card, I had to take steps to clear up some issues, but they eventually accepted my card. The konsiji temple and garden are a must-see if you stay here.
