There are several complimentary laundry services. Wonderfully spacious room, with a lovely bath and custom decals illustrating an African theme. A fantastic breakfast roll with cold meats and cheese, cereals, and cooked eggs to order is to die for. Beautiful, expansive grounds with views of Table Mountain and Lion's Head. Quiet area close to Hout Bay and close to a good bird watching program. Honor bar with a good, reasonably priced local wine selection.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The room is beautifully decorated, the breakfast is amazing for this type of lodging, and the owners and staff cannot be more friendly or helpful. It is a short drive into hour bay's center.

I have just been to Thani River Lodge twice and have had a truly wonderful experience. Claudia and Hartmut are excellent hosts attentive and knowledgeable but never intrusive. For non-german speaking guests, they both have excellent English skills. The staff deserves special mention, especially Simon, who prepares divine breakfasts. The accommodation is first-rate and I was fortunate enough to remain in both the newly constructed tent and the hippo room. Luxurious and cozy are phrases that come to mind, but no description can adequately describe the hotel's excellent level of quality. Table Mountain can be seen from the huge and well-kept garden, and the swimming pool and terrace are a nice touch. Hout Bay is an excellent place to stay because it is conveniently located near Cape Town, the wineries, and Chaman Peak. Overall, we would unquestionably say thani River Lodge, where you are guaranteed to have a wonderful and memorable time.

The best place we've ever stayed in Cape Town in 17 years. Everything you read on the website is true, but it still does not begin to show how beautiful this place is. The owners claudia and Hartmut are wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much hassle and every need has been planned in advance. They even provide their overseas visitors with mobile phones loaded with thousands of restaurants and attractions. Breakfast is a feast that will keep you going all day. Simon, the housekeeping leader, is responsible for making sure everything goes smoothly. The lodge's safety, with an overnight security guard who cleans the guests cars, is excellent.

For those who want to stay in a quiet environment, close to restaurants and not far from Camps Bay Cape Town, this is a must. Surprisingly situated about 500 I from the heart of Hout Bay on a kind of private road. You also can explore the main house with its warm atmosphere in an incredible lovely garden with an African vibe. Our room Hippo was extremely roomy and had two very large single beds and a private terrace as well as a lovely bathroom with a bath for two people, and a garden view! Very friendly german owners who advise you on restaurants and activities. Nice minibar with a wide variety of good wines. Very safe private parking.
