Todo, de principio a fin, ha sido una maravilla. Las vistas de la casa son espectaculares. Es un sitio tranquilo y silencioso donde se respira paz. El alojamiento es inmejorable. Carlos te da consejos sobre dónde comer o qué visitar que a nosotros nos ha ayudado muchísimo. El desayuno está delicioso, cada día cambia y es muy variado y desayunar con vistas a las montañas no tiene precio. Sin duda si volvemos, repetiremos este lugar ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Rural La Cortina, so chilled out with those wonderful views. The property is so in keeping with the natural environment it is surrounded by. Our welcome was very hospitable and the hosts were very eager to make our stay just perfect. We really appreciated the fact that the local produce offered at breakfast time was explained to us and was absolutely delicious, we were intruded to delicacy that we have never had the pleasure to taste, it was most certainly the best breakfast we enjoyed during our extensive stay in Northern Spain. The quality of the bed linen and the extremely comfortable bed along with a great shower were very much appreciated. We hope to return. Thank you so much.

Recommended to stay at least 3 nights to enjoy the place. The view is great and you can enjoy the view of the mountains as well. The hosts are very pleasant and give you a good list of local places to explore. The location is ideal for enjoying the scenery and relaxing on the coastal shores. You can visit the secluded beaches nearby on your way to the end of the day. The breakfast in the morning is diverse and of very high quality. When it's time to get out and enjoy the scenery, it's a wonderful way to start the day. The view is spectacular and well worth the moderate effort depending on your fitness level.

Where Spanish players play on the picks de europa in August, where the temperatures are cooler, the spaces are not crowded with foreign tourists, and you can breathe. So why would anyone visit the picks to stay in a crowded, larger hotel? Carlos has been a part of this property since 1991 and has been operating it for more than 20 years. He is a master carpenter, having taken a house that had been abandoned for more than 50 years and transformed it into a warm, inviting establishment. He took advantage of the rustic feel while finishing off the place with modern touches, resulting in a very comfortable establishment with all of the offworld charm. Simply stunning! There is a private bathroom in every room or suite, with the exception of the loft. A comfy nook for two or three. The views from each are stunning. Each room has a heating as necessary, and has a thermostat. The internet is available throughout. Carlos provides a wonderful breakfast every morning with local meats and cheeses, breads, and sweets, along with local honeys four flavors based on elevations where bees visited flowers Jams, oil, tomato, coffee, tea, and if you need a lunch for your dayout, he can set you up. Great views, beautiful countryside, nice room, clean accommodation and delicious breakfast. Carlos has great taste and this shows in the way he has renovated and decorated the property. We stayed in the suite with a jacuzzi style tub perfect for relaxing after hiking and a deck. The property is up in the hills but worth the 5 minute drive from the main road.

This property was initially drawn to my wife and me by the photos and positive evaluations. They tell an incredible story. While host Carlos was warm and knowledgeable, he could not tell us where to go in the area for walking or eating. I called his friend, but his response was that it would be prudent to visit tourist information. The accommodation was essentially a room in a communal house on the outskirts of a farming town. On one side, the property was being refurbished. At best, the lodging was of the standard of one or two stars. Although the reputed views from the property were nice, they weren't what we anticipated. The property is quite isolated and very close to the picks we had come to visit. We only stayed about half an hour, despite having prepaid for three nights. This experience severely undermines our assessment of our review. Especially in march 2015, there is only one review that accurately reflects this property in our opinion. Take a look.

We can recommend this place and will come back again. The little cottage is quite lovely inside and out. The views of the hills are stunning on clear days. The host is also lovely, very friendly and helpful. He was very accommodating to our late start! Arrival time! The breakfast spread was delicious and included many homemade goods. The location is ideal for the beautiful stroll to the Riviera del Carres, which is 20 minutes away.

Llegamos a la habitación y en 10min tuvimos que matar tres arañas en el baño (estanterias baño, ducha y toallero). La habitación es preciosa, pero necesita una limpieza a fondo, no solo de pasar la aspiradora como decia el dueño que hacia. Teniamos tres noches pagadas y nos fuimos tras la primera noche, aunque perdieramos el dinero de la reserva y tuvimos que buscar otro hotel deprisa y corriendo. Las toallas huelen a viejo, necesitan un cambio. Ademas en la web, se indicaba cambio de toallas diario y alli nada mas llegar pone un cartel que las cambian cafa 3-4 dias según reglamento de este tipo de alojamientos La cama es de 1,80 de largo; yo mido 1,92 y me salia de gemelos para abajo (jamas iria en invierno) Los dueños se pensaban que queriamos que nos devolvieran el dinero y tan solo quisimos hacerle una crítica constructiva, pues fuimos nosotros los que perdimos casi 200€, mas el nuevo hotel que tuvimos que coger a última hora. Lo unico bueno la ubicación y desayuno Es una pena que en este tipo de reservas no exista ninguna herramienta que proteja al cliente, pues se te queda cara de tonto y encima toca perder el dinero
