Cheapest and modern lodge in grindelwald. O've been here twice. And always satisfied. Next to Eiger Terminal to Jungfraujoch. Free breakfast as always and with a view of eiger and the river and the beautiful village.

We only stayed one night, so it was useless. The only positive aspect was the view of the mountain from the chic accommodation. The hotel should be upfront with its visitors about the services they can get, when and how they may. The hotel provided no facilities, so it declined to issue a refund at the time of our visit. Only employees can check in from rp onwards, there is nowhere safe to leave luggage. There were advertised restaurants, snack bars, delis, and coffee shops at the time of arrival, none of them were closed or not open, and none of them were opened to employees, who offered complimentary coffee the following day following rp. But, we were checking out in the morning. The only thing I could appreciate was the view from the chic room over the mountain.

Despite the fact that there were signs stating that the area was quiet after 10 am, it was very loud at night. Although there were many people partying, the staff didn't care much about noise. Among the good things is the very decent breakfast for the money and the excellent location to get to the ski area from the terminal.

I visited for 3 days and it was great to have a lift access. The breakfast was OK, but I'm satisfied and will return for lunch or dinner. Nightly, the location was a bit far from the bar, but we always saw people hanging out and listening to music in the hostel.

Checking in staff only from rp onwards no where safe to leave luggage hotel advertised restaurant bar snack bar deli coffee shop coffee tea in common area on the day of visit there were none of them were closed and not open mentioned to staff who offered a free coffee the next day after rp. We checked out in the morning, however. If you wanted coffee, they advised you to speak up and ask another visitor. They could just turn the coffee machine on. We were only staying one night, so it was irrelevant. The only good thing was the view from the elegant room to the mountain. The hotel should be honest with guests about what facilities are available and when. The hotel refused to refund you despite having no facilities.

Eager lodge chic grindelwald I didn't realize the eager lodge was in the grindelwald ground terminal rather than the center of grindelwald. I must admit that I was glad for my mistake in our seven nights at the lodge with a room and balcony that faced the glorious and sumptuous breakfast. The lodge is close to the terminal from where we purchased tickets and left by cable car for the top of Europe's jungfrau and took the Mannlichen wegen cable cars as well as the main grindelwald terminal train station. There is also a shuttle train that runs between grindelwald ground and the main grindelwald town. On the opposite side, the lodge is also quite easy to walk. The proprietor and staff are friendly and helpful. The lodge is an interesting mix of lodging and hotel. We were in the recently opened chic section. It was priceless to wake up to those breathtaking views from our balcony. Their laundry facility is a little limited for the number of guests. Inevitably, a 5-minute walk away is also operated by the eager lodge. Breakfast may be enjoyed inside or outdoors. The lodge offers a two-day outdoor restaurant with outdoor seating that is open on Thursdays and Thursday nights with both covered and unindoor seating. We ate there several times there good food and a limited menu cold beer. All visitors are given a free bus pass by
