Overall, this is an excellent place to stay in the Cotswolds. We spent four nights at Sarasota and were utterly delighted with the house. The cottage is in a traditional country cottage style with real fire and this serene setting also has a lovely private garden with bed and outdoor furniture. Despite being very little self-catering, the neighborhood has a good variety of excellent gastro pubs and they have provided the kitchen necessities. They have thought out everything necessary to make the experience feel like a home from home. The mezzanine bedroom and bathroom's steep and awkwardly shaped stairs may be problematic for the less mobilized.

We stayed in cope and they were well suited to my vegan needs, but they misread our note, which stated that the cottage was a vegetarian basket, with eggs and milk. They went for a full vegan hamper instead, which was nice and considerate, but my wife was left without much to eat. They brought her eggs after we mentioned this, which left her with little to eat. After hearing creepy scratching from a taped loft space in the middle of the night, our first three nights left us a little scared and sleep-deprived. We believed it might be a bird trapped inside the loft, but according to multiple people, it was mice that came in at this time of year because they don't like the cold. We called the office and spoke with a helpful person who convinced pest control to set up traps for us. This helped, but they didn't remove the traps, which left us with some large flies on our final day. We believe the cottage needs updating because the floors are creaky, the oven takes forever, and everything is old and worn. A quick revamp would make a huge difference. We enjoyed the pool and had it to ourselves twice. We had two aromatherapy messages, these were great and well worth the money. The grounds are lovely, and the staff is friendly.

The grounds and gardens are lovely cared for. It is a stunning setting and we eagerly anticipate a return visit. It is unquestionably highly advisable. We recently got back from a weekend stay at Newmarket Cottage at Burn Cottages, and we would sum it up in one sentence what was fantastic! We were three generations that were delighted with family gatherings and celebrations. Our young grandchildren enjoyed the pool, games room, playground, and playhouse. The company provided baby listening monitors, high chairs, bed guards, books, and toys for the little ones as well! The adults also appreciated the pool, bed, and private terrace! The house delighted us all! It is tastefully furnished and beautifully presented. White company bedding and 100 acre products are a lovely touch. The welcome hamper of champagne, cake, eggs, bacon, mil and cereal was greatly appreciated. They thought of everything, and the entire staff was extremely helpful and courteous.

We think we'll be back soon. For a special birthday, we decided to order Shilton because we had heard good things about burn cottages. Because it is on a level and all the bedrooms are secured, it appealed to us. The kitchen was nicely equipped, and the furnishings were cozy and stylish. Patio and orchard windows are available. Since it was January, we didn't use them particularly much, but we did enjoy watching the birds flying between the branches. Although we didn't use the pool, there were some excellent treatments available. The grounds are very wellkept, and wed love to visit them again sometime in the off-season. Shilton has had a few unfavorable reviews, and we're all baffled.

I spent a long weekend at Shilton. Absolutely gorgeous setting, with a gorgeous welcome basket that contained French champagne! The wobbly dining table and the one shower lack hot water are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. After bringing this up to the office's notice, a gardener was sent to the cottage and was unable to fix it, telling them the plumber was only available after the weekend. Not the level of service you would anticipate from an overpriced 5 star hotel. You can do better, burn!.
