Breakfast was normal. I didn’t like it at all. Everyone has to share a bathroom with the whole BNB. The place was dark and creepy. It smelled musty

A fantastic place with extremely nice and helpful hosts. I have enjoyed my stay and the breakfast and will be staying there if I am in Stornoway again. I enjoyed it much more than a hotel I have been to earlier

Clean room with sink. Bathroom large across the hallway. We had to leave early the next morning so couldn’t have bf but got a packed lunch for the journey x

The property is within easy walking distance of the town centre, it was clean and the host was a very pleasant chap. Breakfast was most enjoyable and has a good view out over the bay. The location affords access to most visitor attractions without having to travel through the town centre.

La chambre était propre mais encombrée par de gros meubles qui ont trop souvent rencontré mes orteils. Un rafraîchissement de l’infiltration sous la fenêtre est à faire. Par chance nous étions peu nombreux mais une salle de bain qui fait aussi toilette à partager pour 10 chambres ça n’est pas assez Quand à l’accueil à notre arrivée à 19h il était inexistant il y avait juste un mot sur la porte d’entrée. Le point positif est que nous avions un ferry très tôt, le logement est à 15min à pied et l’hôte nous avait préparé un petit déjeuner à emporter ( à ma demande)

The place was clean and tidy, and the owner was very kind. But until I arrived I had no idea that the room did not have its own bathroom. Sandwick Bay was OK, but pretty limited. However Stornoway is a very limited place. No restaurants as such, Even the chippies shut at 8. Lewis has a lot going for it - north, west and south. Stornoway is the obvious place to stay - but is not much fun.

unangenehmer Geruch im ganzen Haus, Türen und Betten knarrten stark. Schlafzimmer Fenster ließ sich nur 5 cm öffnen. Gemeinschaftsbad und Toilette auf dem Flur. Hellhörig. Man hörte die Gespräche der Nachbargäste im Zimmer.

Unclear regarding shared bathroom - was under the impression that a private bathroom was booked to discover that the bathroom was a shared facility. Dated B&B needs modernisation. Over powering sickly smell of airfreshners. Outside needs some tlc. Uninviting entrance. The host is a nice chap. Breakfast was adequate.

I notified property that the ferry was cancelled and we were unable to reach the property. I did this before check in time. We were charged the full rate for two nights although the agreement terms said we were liable for only one night. I received no reply or explanation from the property. If this is a regular occurrence with the ferry system and property there should be a caution noted.

This has to be the worst place i have ever stayed and have stayed in many places. For £175 per night for a double room thankfully en-suite ( the only room that was out of 9) due to the standard its worth half of this amout

Not an enjoyable visit. Only stayed 45 minutes before deciding to leave. Room was very dated. Needs a complete makeover from the wooden floor to the ceiling. Bathroom (shared) dated back to the 70's. No pre warning of the "big£ dogs the owner delighted in telling us about, in a menacing way. All in all, would not go back and would never recommend to anyone else. I value my friends too much!
