My husband, daughter and I stayed one night to be close to the Olympic Center where my daughter was competing in an ice skating competition the following morning. The room was small but very comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. The service was great.

Perfect place rooms are very well done, comfortable and quiet. This place is the 5 star place of motels. A little close to the road but the road is quiet so it doesn’t matter.

We had a very nice experience. We had dinner Sat evening & menus & food were excellent! Owner on site & extremely friendly & helpful & staff very pleasant. Back wood deck off our room with wooden Rocking chairs overlooking large grassy/ wooded area very relaxing. Watched Deers come out of woods to graze.

Exceeded our expectations! Views are amazing from the private patio. Adirondack rustic feel is amazing and the smell of the wood burning to heat the building was exactly what we hoped for along with the peaceful setting. We will definitely go back again! It was convenient having the restaurant right next door. Great location!

This was my favorite place on a 5 day road trip to upstate New York. The owner Steve was very friendly and helpful. The motel is new, very clean, and nicely decorated with a rustic, wood cabin motif. The beds are very comfortable, there's a nice flat screen TV with cable, and a giant soaking bathtub. Each room has a back porch with chairs overlooking a field. It's PERFECT! The photos don't do it justice. My kids and I had dinner at their restaurant/bar. Service was excellent, despite a fairly long wait due to a dinner party of 20 that arrived just before me and my two kids. They had a game room with FREE pool table, shuffleboard, dart board, etc. And the chicken marsala was delicious. I would absolutely recommend and return if ever in the area again. Wonderful!

Because it is close to the Essex Ferry, we chose this place and were pleasantly surprised by the location and the helpful personnel! We are aging, and Steve assisted us with our bags and even carried our drinks back to the room after dinner. Steve's wife, I forget her name, is a Sicilian who grew up in Brazil and prepares delicious portuguese cod dishes. Her Portuguese pork stew is excellent as well. On our journey from chicago to the north conway, Halfway House is now our preferred stop.

Very nice place to stay, because the employees and owners are very helpful and friendly, with the room being really beautiful, the atmosphere is clean, and comfortable, with the good thing being there is a bar that serves food, very satisfying. Definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We chose this destination because it was close to the essex ferry and were overjoyed by the facility and its welcoming patrons! We are over the age of and Steve helped us with our bags and carried our beers back to our room after dinner. Steve's wife, I forgot her name, is a Sicilian who grew up in Brazil and produces a delicious portuguese cod dish. Her Portuguese pork stew is also excellent. Halfway House will now be our usual stop on our journey from Chicago to the North Conway!.

Strange name. Great place. Dog friendly, very clean and unique rustic accessories. Having a restaurant right next door helps on the rainy days . Great backdrop. Would recommend .
