We had an awesome time. There is a lot of construction/renovations going on so the grounds were a bit messy and we had to maneuver around a lot of stuff. Other than that, we had friendly staff, nice quality gifts, and good food. I wasn't too impressed with the buffet breakfast at the Green River Grill and Bar but it was good. The coffee was good and the bacon was cooked crispy. Dinner was good and my husband said his burger was really tasty. We split a wedge salad and they didn't skimp on the bacon pieces or the blue cheese. I had the chicken fried chicken which was pretty good with favor but a little dry (not unexpected with chicken breast). The gravy could have been a little more flavorful. The Historic Cottage was pretty neat, though there is no WiFi or hard to get any cell service. No TV, so bring something to do if you have a rainy day and stay inside. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean.

The staff was very friendly and the lodge was a perfect stay for visiting the park. It provided a nice play to relax during the day without having to go far. Just a walk away from the visitor center.

We stayed in one of the little cabins at Mammoth. It was immaculate and very peaceful. We enjoyed the dark skies, the sound of the birds chirping, and the beautiful location. I would definitely stay again. We ate lunch at the little cafeteria. Homemade pizza was outstanding - made fresh for us! Great little place!!

Nice to stay right near visitor center for Mammoth Cave. Hotel part we stayed in was older but clean. They are renovating the area and adding more places to stay. Nice to have restaurant and café on site.

I really wish there wasn't construction going on at the time i was there. I mean, you got a cabin with no Tv/internet/phone to connect with nature but you have bob-cats running 9-5 even on a Saturday. Food options are not the best, breakfast buffet is what you'll expect for an inclusive stay. The other cafe is pretty basic (hot-dogs/pizza etc) prices are reasonable though...

We had an unwanted room mate first night we were there but what can you expect,your in the middle of national park. The next morning they set a little live trap and relocated him for us. The breakfast was a buffet style and for me it was very expensive because I’m not a big breakfast eater. I ended up paying like 15.00 for one biscuit, a little gravy and a piece of bacon with water to drink. That being said we had a wonderful time. Beautiful area, peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. Husband not excited we didn’t have a tv but I was fine with it. We stayed in the historic cabins. Loved it.

Mouse in the room but luckily they had traps so took it and left the live trap outside at 2:30am, was screeching and scratching to escape we could not sleep until put out.

Everything was very clean, staff exceptionally friendly. The double queen room we stayed in was cozy and comfy. There is no table in the room so dont plan on eating in the room, which isnt a big deal as they have delicious food at the lodge. Breakfast buffet is one of the best we ever had! Biggest complaint...good coffee is hard to find! They have a Starbucks inside for drinks only but between the line one day and the staff who stands around chitchatting and not engaging with any of the customers being a huge turnoff so we didnt order from there. The rooms are a longer walking distance from the lodge than one may expect. None of the soda machines near the rooms worked so make sure you have your water bottle, they have refilling stations for these at the lodge. I recommend taling self guided tours first The historic tour was awesome except the speed..they walk you past many picture worthy spots without explanations or time to snap photos. The front of the pack is crowded and hard to enjoy and see things and the back of the pack has to practically run to keep up. If you tour at the end of the day its worse and the ranger will yell at you to move faster and that lagging behind is dangerous amd you are falling too far behind the group...even though the group is around the corner. Stay close to front if you want to hear but closer to back if you need space and have smaller kids because they get lost in crowd easy and most people are oblivious to families trying to stay together.

We stayed in one of the historic cottages at the park. The room was very nice and comfortable. Only issue was the size of the bed. Website stated the room had a queen bed, but at best, this was actually a full. Staff was very friendly and professional. We appreciated the restaurants onsite at the lodge, so no real need to leave the park for anything. The camp store in the park was well stocked, a bit overpriced, but that was expected. I would highly recommend staying at the park and would definitely recommend reservations if planning to do any of the cave tours.
