This motel is the best I’ve ever stayed at in North America. It was incredibly clean, fresh, and smelled great—no typical motel smell. Everything was modern, including touch lamps with USB-C charging ports and power adapters with USB charging. The new paint job added to the overall appeal, and the bathrooms were spotless, with nothing loose or leaking. Parking was in front of your room. Highly recommend this motel!

Lovely and quaint. Great location. Super nice manager. Laundry on site was a bonus! We’ve stayed here before and will come back!

What a beautiful spot to stay. Lovely motel and wonderful staff. The view was beautiful and the rooms so clean and well kept. We had an issue with the A/C and they fixed it quickly. They also said if the couldn’t we could change rooms. So incredibly helpful and quick to fix things! Wonderful and would recommend 100%

It was awesome to look out at the lake every day. It was a good launching point for hiking in Cape Breton. There was a super restaurant just down the road with incredible baked goods. The staff was very helpful in getting our clothes washed. WiFi bandwidth was limited. The TV had Roku so we weren’t able to see any of the World Cup.

The view was amazing…worked out to be $111 American at the time. Standard room…two beds…hospitable staff…very quiet…I didn’t have air conditioning but there were heaters. I stayed one cold night in late June 2026. I slept like a baby…pool is open in July/August. I’m going back there for sure!

We really enjoyed this property. The rooms were fastidiously clean. We could sit outside and admire the water view. It was close to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely golden place to stay at! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and understanding to get the key before check in time to fit my schedule of the day. They went above and beyond knowing I was a young female solo traveller a long ways from home, owner gave me her number to check in with to make sure I made it back safe and sound that night since I was going so far away so late at night for an event! Room was clean and wonderful! Has a tv, fridge, microwave, sink, burners, dishes, coffee pot, shampoo and soap, towels, anything you need to eat and cook besides a pan and pot! It was the perfect middle ground location for my plans to go down to waterford/Sydney one day and then around the cabot trail the next! If you want the best of both areas this is definitely the place to stay! The morning view has some beautiful trees which were in bloom-gorgeous and water in sight, my favourite. It’s only minutes away from all the basics of a community-gas station, Tim hortons, co ops, takeout. I definitely plan on returning to this little gem again! Anyone who asks for a place to stay with a bed is getting my recommendation for here! Prices were fair and cheap for its central location to all the amenities nearby! Speaking to the staff was like speaking to a long time friend you always knew and I absolutely love how much they put into doing everything they can as honest as they can! 💜
