The room was clean and quiet but dated. The pool was clean and very nice for cooling off. The grounds were clean and well kept and the staff was very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Great experience

When we arrived we were greeted with a smile by the staff. Check in was quick and easy. This place still uses keys for the rooms which gives it an old time feel. The room was very clean and updated. The garden view room has a nice relaxing view. You can open the window and listen to the birds. Breakfast was around $11, so not unreasonable for a hotel. While we didnt use the pool it was clean and well maintained daily. The grounds beyond the pool are beautiful with many trees, garden areas and fountains. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and would recommend it. About 15 minutes from Grand Bend so it's a quick drive and about half hour to Bayfield.

This is a family business and they were extremely kind friendly and helpful.. the property is beautiful... There is a pool and gardens and a wonderful restaurant. The walk to the beach is 7-9 minutes, but there is a place to park if you drive down, then a long set of stairs down to the lake. Definitely a must do!

Room was lovely and spacious with a fireplace. Staff pleasant and helpful. Had a bath tub which I appreciated as most hotels seem to be changing to showers only. Highly recommend if travelling in the area. Would be a lovely place for a special event.

I had a wonderful stay, it was just at the beginning of the season so it was very quiet which was what I was looking for. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were very helpful! The walk to the lake, and then along the shore, was a perfect start to the day. The bottle of wine I had sent to my room was terrific and the charcuterie box I had from the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Sitting in the sunroom with a glass of wine and a book was the perfect getaway.

The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.
