Front desk staff were welcoming, very efficient and ready for our arrival. Rooms are basic, very clean and tidy and perfect for the travel we were doing. It was easy to have our little dog buddy with us, we were given a room close to the outside door and main level which was super helpful for us. Thanks for the hospitality!

Continental breakfast sausage not very appetizing for my wife who ate nothing as she has medical dietary concerns . She can eat small amount s of bacon , ham ,if available , scrambled eggs , sourdough bread , honeydew , (no grain breads or cereal) , yogurt cup’s . Updates in room were nice except bathroom wall unfinished on right hand side and lighting very poor above bathroom sink for shaving or women trying to put on their cosmetic’s . Lighting very poor between beds for reading . No outside window screen on window opening to allow more fresh air into room . Other than that a very great improvement because of the new renovations . We have used your facilities whenever we have had to overnight in Smithers for the past five years . Thank you

The room was clean enough but the room was bare. Only a couch that was sagging to sit on. There was a small table by the wall but no chairs to sit on. The stove bottom drawer was broken and one side was on the floor. The cupboard door under the sink was broken and when I opened it it almost fell off. The few dishes in the cupboards were mismatched. The coffee machine had 4 pods for coffee but no cups or packages with spoon, sugar or powdered milk.

Receptionist was incomprehensible had to repeat everything several times. No knowledge of local surrounds - apparently yet another new arrival in his community? All too common. Front desks should know good English and local area, but no! Noisy bikers leaving at 5am. No "please be quiet" signs. Guests chatting along corridors at unsociable hours. Little sleep

Upon checking in my son, myself and our dog we went to the room. I took my dog outside to pee right away, to my surprise there was a massive pile of human feces that was starting to mold sitting on the lawn. I then went back inside to my son asking me if I took my socks off, I wasn't wearing socks I was wearing flip-flops, he then said there's a pair of socks on the floor. Upon further investigation the floors were still dirty, they only made the beds in the room. We got moved to a new room and the bathroom and floors were dirty in this room too, the sink still had toothpaste in it and the floor had dirt and hair everywhere, there was a fry molding in the ac/heating unit but again the beds were made. At this time I was to tired to move all of our stuff to another room again after traveling to get there. The beds were uncomfortable, you heard everything from outside the room. we went for their complimentary breakfast the next morning, my sons cereal was stale and my dog ended up eating my sausages because they tasted funny. I will not stay here again.

Entire floor smelled of wet dog. Our room smelled of strongly of wet dog and something else even though we picked the non-pet room. Slept with the windows open to try and lessen the smell with the indian restaurant next door so the highway noise was very evident. There were either dirty or permanently stained towels in the bathroom. The carpets are all heavily visibly stained with ground in dirt/stains visible everywhere. Some stains looked like toothpaste smeared into the carpet. The carpet was sticky. We were to tired to try and get a better room, if possible, so we just slept, didnt shower and left in the morning. Would not stay here again. But at least they have free breakfast.
