this resort was clean, convenient, and comfortable. I traveled with my two teen daughters. the resort and entire area (even off the resort) was very safe. there is a taxi service on the top floor that will arrange transportation anywhere. there is a Marina a short walk from the resort with a cafe/grocery store, restaurants, two ice cream spots, and a couple of small shops. the restaurants are fantastic. book tours through the hotel. we booked one of two tours with an outside company and they tried to sell us on a timeshare. even though it was cheaper, I would have preferred the hotel tour company. the pool was great, especially with the swim up bar option. the food on the resort was ok, but lacked options. the menu was pretty much the same in all three restaurants each day. the beach outside the hotel was nice but the waves were rough when we were there (July). definitely try playa conchal in brasilito (we saw monkeys there) and the beach at las castalinas. both around 20 minutes away by cab. overall the resort was perfect and the staff was unbelievably nice. even the iguanas and evening racoons were polite.

We had a wonderful stay at Margaritaville Costa Rica in Flamingo Beach. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hotel is cozy and relaxing. While the property is not the most updated, it is very clean, well maintained, and has everything you need for a comfortable vacation. The food was delicious, and there were plenty of options to enjoy. We especially loved the family-friendly atmosphere—our children had a fantastic time, and the activities for kids were excellent. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Great place to relax and enjoy some local food with lots of opportunities to do excursions if you're up for a little action and site seeing. The staff at Margaritaville are kind and fun. The resort is well kept and has great amenities there's also a reasonable amount of activities for kids and adults. There's a local evening market on Monday's with a variety of goods to purchase and close and safe to walk to. Overall a lovely place to stay and visit.

Beautiful location, ocean front, rooms very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel general manager would walk around everyday treating all the guest he saw to make sure their stay was excellent and if he could answer questions you have. I would definitely return to this resort again in the future.

This resort was perfect for our family! It was small enough that I felt comfortable letting our teens roam, but large enough to have enough to do. Jose had a fun list of activities each day and there was entertainment in the evenings. The meals were delicious and staff was very friendly and helpful! I would absolutely return to visit and recommend it to others!
