I choose the hotel in Soullac as my home base and I can visit various things in the Douro area. Its on the interstate going between the two directions, and has parking. The walk to downtown Soullac is quite a walk, but that wasn't one of our goals, so whatever. We were helped tremendously by the manager who is very flexible and very helpful in pulling us out of several selfinflicted catastrophes.

The food at this restaurant is worth the money, it's a lot cheaper than the price, especially for the lady who runs it. The breakfast was also a nice place to have a view of the pyreneas.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is quite close to the train station and the bus stop. The room was quiet and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The breakfast service is also varied and delicious.

The room was nice, and the female owner of the hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming. The AC was unreliable to control the heat and the pool was good. Despite being close to a busy road, the stay was ideal for one night. A car garage is provided for the vehicle. Breakfast was good.

This property is very nice, the owner, Fabienne, even built the garage for the bike when we were going through. The room was comfortable, and the shower was fantastic, the only drawback was that the doorbell went off every time someone came in and it was bothersome because we were on the main floor. The location is also quite far from the city center, where most of the shops are closed anyway. The city was beautiful, with the streets and architecture, but there were no other visitors around. A dystopian world where everyone feels uncomfortable. There is no street cafe culture. Hard to find a meal after 700.
