This is, as hans mentioned, a 2-star hotel. Even so, the welcome upon arrival was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Hans and Christine couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was a delight with hans making his own homemade jams for our enjoyment. It was nice to have the security of a closed yard to leave the car. Hans was very good at giving recommendations and directions on places to go. A thoroughly enjoyable week. Someone commented on the lights! Electricity in France is expensive and cheap when you take into account the cost one pays for lodging. If you didn't try hands carthage, you missed out!.

Stayed here for 4 nights during high season. This hotel in a small beautiful village in France is a typical and well-run hotel. Villeneuve les beers is just south of the major highway by default. The hotel is in a lovely old town of Villeneuve and a few restaurants are within walking distance. The famous canal de Midi passes through the village and only takes 8 kilometers by bicycle along the canal to the beach at Portirange Place. Our room had a bathroom and a steep climb which added to the price. Breakfast also costs more. Free wifi is available. The hotel owner is very kind and helpful and speaks both English and Swedish! The rooms are very well maintained. So, this is a great two-three-star hotel for a reasonable price.

The owner and his wife were so helpful and friendly and very welcoming. The bathrooms need to be updated, some items such as the shower plug are only available on request.
