The complex has beautiful and clean pools as well. The gardens are well maintained and have a true country vibe. When we arrived, the apartment was very clean, spacious, with a lovely outdoor patio, and very well equipped for our self-catering stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the lovely canal village of homes with many nice restaurants. The receptionist speaks good English and was very helpful when we had any questions.

The area is the same as years ago! Castle Chateau is very dirty! The castle is closed and very dirty! The apartments are nice and most things are there. It is unpleasant that you have to ask a lot of things that are not more in the apartment. Sometimes there are seminars and the staff prepare them on time which is not friendly to the locals! Very noisy at 05:30 in the morning there is no control over people who make noise and do BBD where it is not allowed.

First and foremost, a good point. The apartment was nice and roomy. Well planned, peaceful, and comfy. The rural setting is pleasant, close to a village of dwellings, with a handy gas station and a mini-market open until at least rp, which is good for France! The chateau area is surrounded by fields and vineyards, close to the lovely canal du midi and a lake, with mountains in the distance. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful, fluent in English, French, and maybe more. The apartments do not have wifi, but the mobile signal was good. However, I have never stayed in a place where towels are provided you have to pay more for them! There is no air conditioning, but you can hire a fan! Thankfully, I wasn't there during the high summer. Oh, and you have to make your own bed when you arrive, and clean the place before you leave, or you could incur a steep cost! I know it's self catering, but I found the room lights very dim. Yet, nonetheless, it's still a budget-friendly location in a lovely rustic setting.

As a result of a family event nearby, we decided to stay here for a long weekend. We had a great time exploring the area, eating at local restaurants, swimming in the pool, and looking at a studio apartment with all the facilities we needed. We even enjoyed the beautiful early morning terrace, which was nice and shaded in the afternoon! The receptionists named Colette and Naomi were quite accommodating and welcoming. The best local restaurant was en bonne companies in the home. The charming family restaurant in Azillanet's La maison Vigneronne was open on Thursday and Sunday evenings when we were there. $25 for a full meal with wine. Two options per course. But excellent. To return to La Residence. Great location, surrounded by vines, calm and peaceful. And a tile store is three or four minutes away by car.
