The place is beautiful. We booked this place as a stopover to stay in contrast to the typical autoroute hotels. The hotel has friendly and helpful staff and has a good size room and bathroom. The best part of the stay was certainly the restaurant. The food is yummy and delicious. Will do anything to make this place our best choice,

All in all, it left us feeling uneasy, a shame since it's generally a nice hotel. We reserved this hotel specifically because it was claimed to be dog-friendly. The setting is lovely, and the cuisine is excellent. Although it was a very hot day, the heat in our room was less wonderful, but a fan would have been appreciated. We were, however, perturbed to see a notice in the room stating that they would prefer dogs to sleep in their vehicles and that there would be a liability if they remained in the room. It was also obvious that we couldn't bring the dog inside the restaurant even though we were able to eat outdoors.

We have used this hotel twice because it is in a fantastic position when traveling from France back to the UK. The hotel is on the outskirts of a quiet village in good location with a beautiful lake and the ability to have a good off-road walk before eating. The lakeside rooms are more comfortable and well furnished than the rear rooms, but need some attention. For instance, the shower leaks so the water pressure is low and the temperature control doesn't seem to work, resulting in a cool shower, not what you want on a cold autumn day. The towels are clean but small and there may be more shampooshower wash. The restaurant is a lovely room with a large fire and well-kept tables. The food is quite old fashioned French food, especially meat orientated. Fashion meat dishes are available but they are not good, my wife left most of her expensive meal, shame. This would be a great hotel and restaurant with some tweaks and attention to detail. On future visits, we anticipate improvements.

Our trip to Gibraltar brought us to this beautiful location that faces a little lake. At this hotel, we decided to stay for a night. It was an unforgettable night out. The best dinner weve had in France was the evening meal, which is so amazing. It was worth the trip off the motorway. The triple room in our stay was very roomy and clean. There are some carpets that need cleaning but they are also good value for the 75 euros we spent only for the room. Each person is served a set menu of 35 euros. The breakfast cost 10 euros.

Lovely, peaceful, amazing place, and excellent food. The room we stayed in was very bright and airy, with a very comfy bed. Dogs are welcome at the hotel, but they must be able to climb stairs.

This hotel occupies a renovated farm, nestled at the foot of the lush Perseigne forest among 8 hectares of lakes and marshes, yet close to the town of Alençon and easily accessible by train – with the local station just 15 km from the hotel, or car – the highway just 11 km away. The charming exterior with windows overlooking the lake and turrets rising from the roof is reflected in the elegant, old-timey interior of the spacious guestrooms, featuring exposed beams, calm colours and all contemporary amenities.
