We come over to the very nice Goldberg Savoycarea for our autumn vacations as all years except for the last couid years. This is a very relaxed and inspiring setting with great food and very good room. We love it.

Very kind and kind owner couple and service team, fantastic food and rooms, and the perfect quiet location in the middle of the sauerland hills and forests. The highlight was always breakfast with the best bread ever.

Hotel where the owner knows what good service means. The in-house restaurant is cosy and serves excellent food. Nice terrace and great view. Excellent starting point for walking routes. The room is comfortable, but the fridge is not working properly.

The hostess is a very friendly woman, nothing is too much for her. The staff is excellent and help everywhere. Food is tastefully prepared and made with greatest care. The rooms are not so big also the bathrooms, but very clean. This hotel is perfect for people who like to walk.

In other words, Winterberg is really terrible, and goldberg is not too exciting. But if you must stay here and are looking for a good place, go north east a mile outside of goldberg and find this little gem. At about 3, 5 am, in the hills, there is this truly good restaurant offering a spectacular view of the mountains of Saurerland. Here, slow-food food is served at very reasonable prices. A three-course daily menu costs just 22 euros. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Even a small number of delicious rooms are available at modest costs of 40 euros. A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery, food, and beverages since it is very quiet and peaceful. The journey is certainly worthwhile. If I ever go back to Goldberg, I will stay and eat here.
