Good location, right in the center of shops and cafes. Close to metro stations, not far from main attractions. Staff were super kind and helpful. Gave great restaurant recommendations, packed us breakfast bags for our early morning excursions and were generally really nice. The breakfast buffet each morning had fresh fruit, fresh juices, a wide assortment of breads and cereals and yogurt. Really lovely. The rooms are small but very nicely appointed. The balcony was a wonderful addition, as well. The only downside is the bathroom—but only in that it was painfully small. Never got used to it! All in all, a really great find. Would def stay again. PRO TIP: do not book the first floor. It’s street level and can get a bit noisy/isn’t private.

The location was perfect, as it was in the middle of everything and did not require longer than 5 mins walking to popular sights. The staff was so polite and very accommodating. Will definitely come back here.

We loved everything about our stay at Athens Retro. The location was perfect, 2 minutes to Monastiraki Square amd Ermou Street, 20 mins from the Acropolis, 10 minutes to Little Kook, 10 mins to Syntagma Square to name a few. There were lots of great restaurants, cafes, shops and rooftop bars steps away from the hotel. The staff were fantastic, helping us with arranging transport from the cruise ship upon arrival into Athens. They were welcoming and friendly, offering us luggage storage and coffee and snacks upon arrival. The breakfast had lots of offerings and the common area was very clean and well looked after. We loved the hotel itself with its boutique vibe, our room was super cute and had all the amenities that we needed. It was very clean. The balcony was a nice touch. The breakfast area/foyer was super nice and welcoming with lovely decor. We loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay while in Athens.

This hotel was EXCELLENT! Close to the metro, and everything in Monastiraki. If you enjoy walking, most of the best Athenian attractions are within w pleasant walking distance from this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, the bed super comfortable and the staff very helpful. The room I stayed it was gorgeous with 4 balconies! My only complaint was that there is little counterspace by the bathroom sink area and that I had to hang my long dresses in the shower. Other than that, I would stay here again and like will when I return to Athens next year!

The communication was beyond excellent. I ended up arriving after 2300. My flt was delayed and they gave me code to get in front door and my room. Worked like a charm. They emailed me immediately 3 times, each with a question of mine and they were on front door camera showing me where key was left on dining table. The attendant helped me with taxi next day by rolling 2 suitcases to street great luggage storage, help in booking taxi. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was had nothing hot, but enough, cold hard boiled eggs. Lovely open lobby. Rooms newly done and very cool. Balcony small, only saw street not acropolis, small table with 2 chairs, fridge, black out curtain, 2 sinks, extremely well decorated. Almost 5 star

The staffs were very kind in answering questions and providing resources I asked for. The breakfast was excellent. The lobby was well stacked with various drinks with water bottles in the lobby refrigerator. I want to come back to this hotel on my next travel.
