Accomodation consists of separate apartment type buildings. Pool area is first class. Breakfast is excellent with various options. Only possible problem may be the walk back to hotel as it is situated up a very extreme hill.

This hotel is situated on top of the hill and the view is simply amazing, you'll feel like you're transcended somewhere else. There is a fantastic pool, a small restaurant, free parking, and massage services on site which makes it very convenient to not have to leave the property if you just want to take it easy and relax. It's fairly close to two supermarkets for supplies and also Chora with a number of great restaurants/entertainment, but be prepared for a really steep hike. Also, if you are a light sleeper, you should anticipate you'll hear everything next door. I didn't mind this too much as I was fortunately put in a corner unit and slept like a log from all the great hiking nearby. Finally, the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't know about the shuttle service they have from 10am-3pm and they helped squeeze me into catch a last minute ferry - really kind people! Note: Cash only if you are paying at the hotel directly

Really glad we picked to stay at this hotel. The views are great and is in very close walking distance to the main town. The fact it is NOT near the port was not an issue as they offer free port transfers both there and back. The pool area is great with excellent ‘lounging’ facilities (& views) it also offers a very reasonably Priced pool bar. We opted for breakfast included which we were glad we did as it was quite big selections/portions - 3 pieces of toast, orange juice, tea/coffee, yogurt or fruit, scrambled/hard boiled egg, croissant & selection of spreads! as this is offered until 1pm we thought of it as a brunch and didn’t need anymore food until dinner.

The owner of the Skala Hotel, Kilyakos, is the paragon of Greek hospitality. He greets his guests at the port upon their arrival and returns them upon their departure. An energetic and enterprising man, he not only manages the hotel, but he also oversees his restaurant, The Mill, located at the top of Ios Village. The view of Ios Village and the port from the hotel pool is absolutely stunning. This has to be the greatest bargain available on Expedia for Ios hotels!

Host came to pick us up and was great to give us a mini tour while getting to the rooms. Very friendly owner that took care of us and even gave us some shots at his restaurent later. I would definitely recommend staying there and going to his restaurant the mills.

First, note that the map on hotels.com doesn't have the right location for the hotel. It is not in the port, but rather on the top of the hill. That said this hotel had an absolutely breathtaking view and its a bit outside the madness of the town square. The room was basic, practical, and very clean. The breakfast was delicious! The owner and his brother were extremely thoughtful. I will remember their kindness whenever I think about the trip to Ios.

Hotellet var perfekt om man vill till Ios för att partaja. Ägaren Kyriakos är otroligt hjälpsam och serviceminded!! Det är otroligt smidigt att ta sig överallt och behöver man taxi så bokar Kyriakos en taxi åt en. Det enda negativa med hotellet är att det är uppe på en backe så om man har varit ute och härjat på kvällen är promenaden hem väldigt jobbig! Der tar 5-10 minuter att gå till och från bargatorna. Jag är mycket nöjd med min vistelse på Skala hotell!

Fantastisk service! Kjempe hyggelig familiebedrift. Stedet har en fantastisk utsikt. Rommet var renslig og man fikk mye for pengene. Anbefales på det sterkeste! Hotellet ligger sentralt til både strand og byen. Den eneste ulempen var at det var mange ungdommer som bodde der som medførete mye bråk/fest på natten.

Notre séjour a été formidable et ceci en raison de toute la famille du propriétaire qui est d'une extrême gentillesse. Le site est superbe avec une vue sur le port magnifique. La piscine est agréablement agencée. Le soir nous avons mangé au restaurant le Mills un régale, le plaisir des sens.
