The location is still very strategic because it is close to the Semua Champey River. However, the staff seems oblivious. They say that the area has good facilities, such as a fantastic pool, bar, restaurant, games, and a bar. They said there arent any alternatives and you have to spend a certain amount to buy food. They also insist that you use a kind of punchcard that requires you to put a minimum of $300 into order to buy the food. They say that this is to discourage filthy money entering the hostel. However, the food itself is expensive and not really good, and unless you want to go to another hostel, there are no alternatives. We got there in 10 minutes and walked 10 minutes to the El Portal hostel, which has more food options, but charges 8 euros. This hostel only accepts cash. Credit cards are not supported because the hostel is surrounded by a valley, according to the other couple who responded that they used their credit cards at checkout without any problem, and the majority of other hostels in Semua Champey accept them. Not exactly terrible, but quite peculiar. The receptionist has a borderline offensive sign that states something about integrating mayanspeaking individuals into our society. It's a nice place to stay, I stay in green hostel to visit Samua Champey. It's only 10 minutes walk away, so it's the perfect place to stay. They provide free transportation to the hostel and pick you up at the shuttle bus station. Would suggest you.4.6/59 Apr 2022

The atmosphere is easy, the staff is helpful, and the guests could use some manners, but that was not the hotel's fault. This place is unquestionably the most pleasant for foreigners. It attracts a throng of late teens to late at night, which is why the party continues until late. The property itself shuts off the music around 11 a.m., and the lights go out at midnight, but not everyone follows the rules, and some continue to blaring music from their phones and talking loudly well into the night. The setting is nicely maintained and as clean as you'll ever get in the jungle. The food is delicious and more for foreigners, but that all comes with a price much higher than in other places, but this is understandable because you are in the jungle. Bring cash, as cash is king! Stay for a few days, join the party, and bring earplugs if you want quiet. I'm not sure I'll come back as I'm more of a peace and quiet type, but I'm happy I visited. Perhaps there will be a quiet area in the hotel in the future, lol.4.6/512 Jan 2022

Firstly, you must take a moment to comprehend some of the major benefits of greens to fully appreciate Semua Champeys geology. Located only 10 kilometers away, Palanquin is the closest town. The issue? One of the worst roads in central america is between Samua Champey and Palanquin. It literally takes 1 hour to get from Palanquin to Samua Champey. For this reason, there is a significant degree of isolation when visiting this area since hostels and hotels are scattered along this difficult to navigate road. So, even though greens is listed as lodging, it will also be where you eat, drink, and unwind outside of Samua Champey, so youll need a location that can do everything. The lodging is typically pro and some cons pros. It is a decently constructed home that is primarily pro and less cons. The food appeared to be between 3570 and 3570 q for a meal, which I think is due to an intermittent electricity issue. The room was clean with comfortable beds. Large windows facing well-kept gardens. The hot water was effective but took a while to get going, which I assume is a reflection of the intermittent electricity. The WiFi is only open from 6 oclock to 1800. Theres no receptionist on duty here. Again, I believe that intermittent electricity4.4/523 Sep 2022

I like the location very well, so nice, neat, staff, and very helpful. The atmosphere is good too, the shower has warm water and fresh towels, and the place is only a 10-minute walk from the nature reserve entrance.Popular Facilities

This hotel strictly prohibits external food or drinks on the premises due to the presence of insects, local animals, and nature. The hotel does not accept credit cards due to the instability of phone and internet coverage in the area. For your safety the doors are locked from midnight to 6:30 AM, the property can neither receive incoming guests nor allow any guests to exit during this time (excluding emergencies).TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL FROM LANQUINOur people have your names, they are waiting at the Puma gas station where the shuttles stop and as soon as there are about 8 guests our car drives towards the hotelWe offer a free pick-up service from Lanquin (between 4pm until the last shuttle arrives) for guests who stay a minimum of 2 nights (Q35 per person for those who stay one night). This shuttle service operates only between 4pm until the last shuttle arrives (does not apply to private shuttles). The Greengo's truck will be waiting where you arrive — if you have a reservation and are coming on a tourist shuttle, you do not need to notify us of your arrival. If you are arriving by private shuttle or colectivo to Lanquin, please speak to us in advance.
