This may not be the spot for you if you are seeking a modern, standard hotel. This is, in some respects, hard to imagine, the wrong kind of place. The house is about a century old and has the liven ownerhost semi, who resembles Santa Claus in the form of a ghost. The house combines the old architecture with a warm, comfortable atmosphere. I loved the uniqueness of it and may not like how I am 62 years old. Semi makes you feel at home and offers both a delicious breakfast and supper. He produces delectable homemade soup, bread, and cake, and sitting at the table with everyone and having the conversation with no one distracted by their phones was fantastic and uplifting. The grounds are also lovely, with statues, peat roof structures, and one that appears to be a jackass. There is an excellent alternative to visiting a remote waterfall in the canyon or up the mountain just behind the house. I could get naive with some of the locations I have visited, but this will not be one of them.

When we were in Husafell, we had a wonderful time staying here. Being able to stay in a semi-decorated farmhouse was a very welcome and genuine experience. He was extremely gracious and kind, delivering us stacks of delicious waffles and whipped cream upon our evening arrival to a delicious brunch with other delectable items. The farm had a lot of character, and we felt right at home. A fantastic location to stay.

This place is a must-visit location! It's a well-kept, traditional old farm with charm. With freshly painted contemporary comfort walls, cozy beds, and a beautiful newly renovated bathroom, you've gone back in time. Semi, the hostess, was also fantastic in his hospitality. He helped us feel at ease and offered us an amazing soup with homemade bread and waffles for supper as well as an icelandic breakfast the next morning, all of it was offered for free. He even raised the price we had just spent on the room, which was among the finest places I've ever experienced.

Our favorite part of our stay in Iceland was this. It's a old farm. The owner was great and really kind. He gave us the impression that we were part of an icelandic family. Breakfast was included in the rate and was really delicious, with waffles, syrup, jam, bread, coffee, and porridge. The guests can also use natural bathtubs.

This is a very unusual accommodation option essentially a private home. The owner was very welcoming despite not speaking much English, but he did give us free dinner and breakfast at a single large table for all of the guests. We had a shared bathroom, and the bedroom was perfect. However, because it's an old house, many of the floorboards creak, which can be annoying at times. Overall, this was a great choice for the price we paid.
