After arriving in Iceland, I spent one night here in a family room. The room was a lot spacious and spotless, with cozy mattresses and a great shower. There is a kettle in the room, as well as a shared kitchen next door with a toaster, microwave, hob, and crockery, pots and pans, etc. The only drawback was that when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, we had to drive a few kilometers north to Reykjavik to find a supermarket and eatery.

This place makes a nice stop either way from and to the airport. The rooms are small yet well-equipped and clean, which is the best part because the young lady who manages it is full of suggestions, information about this place is very interesting. Keep in mind that it is hard to find food in the neighborhood if you don't bring it with you.

We spent 6 days backpacking and 4 days touring iceland. This was our stop for the night before flying out. The couple who manage the hotel were fantastic and accommodating. They have worked very hard to create a unique place. Everything on site is clean. Every room has a room with a five-star bathroom. They did not spare a thing by decorating the room. The shared kitchen is well equipped and useful for cooking meals for 3 big boys. The location is ideal for the airport and the price is much better than surrounding hotels.

The location is in Volar, just outside of Reykjavik and only about 30 minutes away. The owner also stays there and can assist you right away if you need anything. She welcomed us and gave a friendly greeting. We got a comfortable family room and comfortable bed.
