The owners of this property are the charm of this spot! Lovely personable couple who go out of their way to greet and get to know you. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious! The children loved the hot tub!

This family-run guesthouse is delightful. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the family is friendly and gracious, and the setting is idyllic. It is close to a town that has stores and restaurants, but the guesthouse has plenty to do (puzzles, games, musical instruments, BOOKS). Lovely people, lovely place.

This was one of my favorite stays during our ring road travel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We did a 2 hour horseback ride that was amazing followed by some homemade pancakes with coffee and tea. I cannot recommend this guest house enough. We had a great time at this stay and enjoyed all the stories that were told. A+ place and A++ staff.

The wife is so helpful in providing the best home environment. She is also a wonderful pianist and storyteller. The room is cozy with a private bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and homemade.

We initially chose this location because we wanted to rest for a few days on an icelandic farm and have the chance to go horseback riding. What we ultimately got is far more. Our stay here is unquestionably one of the most memorable moments of our travels around iceland. First of all, Dodd and Thea's hospitality was excellent. They greeted us like we were family and told us stories about the farm, the life in the fjord, and other ancient tales about the past iceland. The structure is excellent, warm, and cozy, with spacious rooms and generally breathtaking views on each side. Breakfast is made from scratch using local ingredients, and it was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Skorrahestar, wish the family and the horses the best and hope to return soon. I. I. Do not miss the horseback riding activities here, they are incredible!.

After a long day of traveling, I arrived late in the evening. The hosts waited for me because they wanted to personally welcome every visitor. That was really nice. The guesthouse is excellent in cleanliness, beauty, and comfort. The location is also fantastic, with mountain views.

We spent two nights at the beautiful hotel Skorra Hestar. Thea and Dodd were so kind to us. Thea shared her knowledge about the area and other far off places, the Inuit and her own stories. We felt right at home and as though we were friends. Thank you very much for your kind and warm welcome.

Small rural farms with lovely rooms with fantastic views, either from the mountains where you can observe the animals or from the other side, where you can see the entire country. Pillows and beds are cozy. This structure is perfect for groups, coworkers, family reunions, or other types of meetings. If you're interested, the woman who works there is extremely kind and willing to share information about farm life with you. She also serves very good breakfast. We felt great from the very beginning and could easily envision staying longer there with her. They offer hours-long back-ride tours, I wish I could have been able to go because the area is too beautiful, but unfortunately, I didn't have time. If you want a different experience than the usual hotel stay, I highly recommend this. Hello, elsa and host.
