Incredible room, incredible hosts, and incredible location. Right in the middle of the old town it was easy to walk to any shop or restaurant. Staying in a cave hotel was a once in a life time experience. Matera is a beautiful town rich in history. Absolutely recommend!

Embora de difícil acesso para chegar com as malas por conta de ficar em área restrita para veículos não cadastrados|autorizados, não tivemos problema, pois o dono do hotel foi nos buscar onde estacionamos o carro. Ele foi muito atencioso e gentil! Ficamos num quarto com terraço e a vista era incrível.

We were in Matera for a wedding and had an incredible stay. The accommodation had a stunning terrace with views to the cathedral and old town. Thee we room was beautifully renovated and retained all its wonderful features. The owner was fantastic - so helpful and informative and even drove us to our car hire location when we were unable to get a taxi. Both Matera and Pietragialla were magical.

This hotel is in a privileged position, deep in the heart of the sassy. Our room was ultra modern, minimalist but retaining the character of the cave. The bathroom with the stone shower was wonderful. Giacomo was a wonderful host and has such attention to detail. Around the reception area, a few areas are still being completed, making the hotel even more special. reserve now before it becomes impossible to reserve one of the three available rooms. Central location, close to a few good restaurants yet very quiet. gorgeous! Photos just cannot compare.

The room and adjacent terrace overlooking Matera was incredible! Giacamo was super welcoming, always asking if I wanted a coffee, and really helpful in booking taxis/helping me with directions. Highly recommend!

This location is highly recommended for a stay in Mater. The atmosphere here is very beautiful and the renovations are great. The employee is very helpful, and he will reply to our emails about parking. Once the car was safely parked in a secure car park, he pick us up and drives us to the property. The bathroom and shower looked amazing. The room was upgraded, and the bed was of low quality. We love the amazing service and really appreciated the courteous and attentive giacomo who is always available. This place is very nice.

The location of the hotel is excellent with a good view of the dome and parts of Sassy di Mater. Terrans add a pleasant extra touch to the overall experience of staying here. The owner is also very pleasant and helpful.

I would highly recommend it. This location was fantastic. Everything was above expectation. The room is lovely, very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Nice toiletries leave your 100 ml bottles at home, fridge, water, hairdryer, tea, coffee, etc. I adored the bathroom with the cave shower. The proprietor was extremely helpful and was always on hand. He assisted us with booking our tub trip and even printed train times for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything has been recently renovated, but it has retained the ancient cave charm very well. It is in the center of the sassy, with many good restaurants right outside your door. The bar right across the street has great evening views of the sassy. The front reception area of the property was transformed into a bar, so it has beautiful views. Excellent location, lovely rooms, beautiful views, attentive owner.
