I loved staying here! It's right next to the main plaza area and a short (downhill) walk to St. Chiara, St. Francis, Chiese Nuova, and St. Maria (where St. Carlo is on display). St. Chiara has 7:15 am daily mass which was great to attend before breakfast. The breakfast was great (coffee, fresh fruits, meats, jelly, bread, freshly made eggs, etc). The room itself was very quiet, even though we were close to the busy plaza. There was an orchestra concert one night in the plaza, but you couldn't hear it inside the room. AC works great, tall ceilings, a mini fridge, and the room is large. Bed is very comfortable and there is even a small loveseat to lounge on. The bathroom looks new and has a large (for Europe) shower with a rainfall shower head and a seperate spray handle. There is also plenty of storage space in the bathroom and a large closet in the bedroom (with a safe) to store clothing in. There is no elevator but they carry your bags up and down the stairs for you, which was really nice. The hotel itself is very secure, and you would feel safe if you are a female solo traveler. The front entrance has a wooden exterior door as well as an inner sliding glass door, both of which require a key card to enter. Our favorite restaurants Mangiar e Vino by The Lanterne in between the plazza and St. Chiara. There is also a minimart on the way from the plaza to St. Rufino which stocks water and snacks. The hosts were really nice we'd stay again , and I highly recommend the hotel.

The property was beautifully renovated character building in the heart of Assisi. Carmine and Lia were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this location.

We have nothing but praises for this property. Carmine and Lia are excellent in what they are doing. From providing information prior to arrival, to check in, to breakfast to check out, everything are flawless. Location is just perfect. We really appreciate their suggestion to book a taxi on a Sunday, as Sunday was busy.

Outstanding boutique B&B located in the heart of Assisi. Wonderful property with beautifully appointed rooms and common areas. Terrific hosts; tasteful artwork, and ample breakfast. The owners are wonderful people, the property is totally reconditioned, and Assisi is a gorgeous hilltop town.

Lia and Carmine are the best hosts we’ve experienced in our many stays in Italy, and their property is immaculate, exceptionally and tastefully appointed. Breakfast is 10/10! The fruits, homemade breads and jellies are standouts, as well as the caffe and juices. Something for everyone, and delightful setting.

Great bed and breakfast right in the middle of Assisi. The couple in charge of the B&B could not have been nicer and more helpful. The room was super quiet, not huge but still very comfortable, good bed, very clean and modern. The breakfast was amazing: fruits, home made bread, home made pastries, etc. Really a great experience. Highly recommended.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were so wonderful. We missed breakfast on Sunday because we went to Mass - they got everything back out for us so that we could have a bite to eat and a cappucino before heading to the next stop on our trip.

Room very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and kind. Carmine arranged a taxi to pick us up at the train station and helped us get tickets for the veneration of St Francis. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at Portica 10. The hosts are just lovely, kind and welcoming. The facilities are well kept, clean, organized and cozy. They had the place decorated for the holidays and it was beautiful. The location was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go to in the town of Assisi.
