This is a fantastic location to stay and meet people from all over the world. Although it is somewhat remote from central kyoto, it can be reached by bus in just ten minutes. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and the visitors are courteous. Wonderful dog and cosy atmosphere. My first hostel experience was wonderful here!.

The hostel is ideal if you want to have a fantastic local experience. You can enjoy the traditional streets and shops at 10 minutes walk from the gyon area. The host and staff are very friendly and helpful. They will guide you to the best areas and advise you at all times. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast. Omg. Big local breakfast with miso soup, rice, salmon, fruit, cake, etc. Thank you for everything.

Wow, the friendliest i have ever encountered in japan so far! This location is ideal for any backpacker because of its location in an old janese townhouse and proximity to Gions main tourist attractions! The hardworking owner prepares a firstclass breakfast and also arranges regular Sento bath visits, which are all complimentary. Excellent value for the money, and because it is so small, getting to know other travelers is simple because you can easily get to grips with other tourists. I wish ive stayed longer than four nights, especially since ill just missed the weekly friday night party and barbecue!.

We stayed there on my birthday. The owner made a cake for me. Okini! Thank you very much for that! We had supper and had an amazing bbq. Everything is lovely and helpful. Dog is very cute. Great coffee and breakfast buffet. There is tastier patio to relax in the house. We went twice to the onsen with sauna for free! And sightseeing spots are around the corner. If we visit kyoto again, we will definitely go there again.

This is the best place to stay! Great location, easy access to the subway and bus, and a cheap taxi from the train station. The owner is very kind, speaks english, breakfast is delicious and the most important thing that can happen in the morning. And if youre lucky enough, the doggo Giro will pay attention to you.

The best hostel i have ever stayed in! The staff is very nice, the breakfast is delicious and includes lots of fruit. The location is close to all the cultural sites and has a dog you can pet. There are 2 bunk beds with 4 beds. They were more than enough for our luggage, there was tv and utensils for storage. In the common area, you will find fridge, kitchen, tons of tables, and television. I would definitely recommend it if you have dozens of things to do in that area of kyoto.

The guesthouse gajyun is located in a traditional japanese house called ryokan. The staff is very friendly and the owner cooks tastier buffetstyle breakfast every morning which is included in the price. Beds are very comfortable. Location is also quite good, only 20 minutes walk from kyoto kawaramachi train station and nishiki market. I highly recommend staying at the guest house gajajiun!.

When i visit kyoto, ill most certainly stay here again. The staff is all very kind and helpful. Its really nice and clean. They serve a simple breakfast. However, since they only have one shower, it might take some time to shower and you must return before 11 p. M.

This is without a doubt the best guesthouse ive ever been to. I initially picked this location because of jiro, the dog, but i cant stop expressing my gratitude for the amazing service, breakfast, lodging, onsen, and recommendations all the staff and even the owner, ichigo. As if he were guiding me on my own, this is unquestionably edgypt.

I only stayed in kyoto for two nights, but i would return. Fantastic stay here! Jiro, the dog, is a wonderful employee. Their breakfast is excellent, with fresh fruits and food that is 10/10. Its as though they have their own wellkept fruit garden, everything was so fresh.

[Important Notes]
- This facility is a traditional wooden *Kyo-machiya* (Kyoto townhouse) that is over 150 years old. Common areas and guest rooms are separated by *fusuma* (sliding paper doors); soundproofing is limited, so footsteps and conversations may be audible.
Please also note that rooms facing the street may experience some noise.
- There is no elevator in the facility; guests must use the stairs.

[Child Rates]
This facility is primarily for adults. Children aged 6 and older may stay only in private rooms, and the adult rate applies.

[Dormitory Rooms]
- Requests for specific upper or lower bunks in dormitory rooms cannot be accommodated.
- Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay in dormitory rooms.
- Mixed-gender dormitories accommodate both male and female guests.
