Lokasi berada di kawasan Penang heritage area. Meskipun sy sendiri wanita tp saya merasa aman. Dari dan ke bandara naik rapid penang hanya RM3 dan 150m dari seven eleven yang menjual makanan dan minuman antara RM2-RM3. Dekat dengan kedai jeruk pak Ali dan mydin penang. Dari terminal nibong naik grab RM17 ke lokasi. Tidak seperti di Melaka, di Penang sangat aman dan nyaman. Dekat pasar chiwastra tempat beli oleh² murah. Terdapat air panas dan pemilik pak Khalid yg asli melayu sangat ramah dan informatif. Ia juga sering mengajar kelas masak di tempat tersebut yang diminati oleh orang asing. Buat kalian yg single main sini gaes

The cooking lesson with khalid was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about ingredients and oragins. He explains the dishes and makes you feel at home cooking. We made char kui teow, beef randang, which i must say was the best recipe for randang ive ever made! I recommend this place to take a cooking class, it only takes 3 hours and you have a great time. Thanks again, khalid.

I had a great time participating in this cooking class! It was a small group, consisting only of me and another solo traveler, which made it very personable. It felt like cooking and eating with an old friend because khalid was knowledgeable. In comparison to other classes, i thought the cost was reasonable, and the location was just around the corner from my hostel. I would definitely recommend it if you want to try cooking with a local! Im eager to bring my knowledge of three delectable malaysian dishes home!.

I participated in the quick wok class taught by khalid, where we were able to prepare three different malay dishes. He was a very kind and generous teacher, and i had a great time learning, eating, and having conversations. I would recommend this class to anyone looking to learn about malaysian cooking.

We had a conversation with khalid, who was such a gracious host. We sat down and talked about the origin of many ingredients one by one, which greatly enhanced the experience. We learned about the origin of spices and ingredients, as well as their historical origins. We were fully engaged in every step of the process and were very aware of how our ingredients impacted each dish. We made a few dishes, and we were able to leave completely satisfied with the money well spent and our full bellies. Thank you very much, khalid. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic experience. Rachel and patrick.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon of cooking with khlid! The wonderful thing about this place was that everyone prepared each dish and could customize it to his liking e. G., more spicy or less spicy. We learned a lot about the different cuisines in malaysia.

I highly recommend this cooking class, you will leave feeling satisfied and satisfied! My partner and i attended khalids hard wok cooking class. We made 6 delicious dishes, all of which were interesting and unique in their own ways. He had prepared a lot of the ingredients, but we helped with much cutting as he explained how the recipes would go and why. Each person had to do all the frying and cooking at each station. I dont cook much and have never made food like this, but it was easy and i feel like i could definitely replicate it with the proper ingredients. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about malaysian ingredients and traditions, as well as about khalid and all his activities! If we had more time, we would have loved to go on his food tour!.

I highly recommend this class, its the best thing ive done in penang. In retirement, khlid runs this cookery school, and it is clear that he is incredibly passionate about teaching his students good malaysian cooking. I ended up being the only student in the class on this particular day, and he went above and beyond, teaching me three different dishes and going into great detail explaining the ingredients, methods, and history of the food. I had a great time, learned a lot, got to eat the food, and left with lots of photos and recipes.

Excellent cooking lessons with an amazing teacher. My partner and i learned a lot and were able to eat a lot of freshly prepared food. We also received recipes and photos the teacher took of the lesson. I highly recommend it!.

Saya pernah mengikuti kelas memasak sebelumnya dalam perjalanan dan sejauh ini ini adalah yang terburuk. Pria tersebut memulai dengan mengatakan bahwa dia sebenarnya adalah seorang bankir dan bukan seorang koki. Dan hal itu dengan cepat menjadi jelas. Pria tersebut banyak berbicara tetapi jelas tidak memiliki pengetahuan memasak yang baik. Misalnya, saat membuat sambal, dia memaksa semua orang untuk menaikkan api yang sangat besar sehingga bawang putih dan bawang merah langsung menghitam. Kemudian dia mencoba mengatasinya dengan menambahkan banyak air dan gula, tetapi itu hanya memperburuk keadaan. Pria tersebut kacau dan bingung, dia menceritakan semuanya sebanyak 3 kali. Lokakarya secara umum berjalan sangat lambat dan persiapannya buruk. Selama bengkel, pria tersebut masih harus mencari berbagai bahan dan peralatan memasak. Dia bisa melakukannya terlebih dahulu. Setelah 1,5 jam kami mengobrol dan dia memasukkan nasi ke dalam panci. Tidak ada proses memasak lebih lanjut. Peralatan memasak berada dalam kondisi yang buruk dan area memasak tidak stabil (dengan api gas) terletak berdekatan satu sama lain. Toilet berada di dapur, 50 cm dari pulau memasak. Setelah menyiapkan hidangan pertama, pria tersebut harus mencuci semuanya dan menyatukan semuanya kembali. Ini memakan waktu yang sangat lama sehingga membuat peserta agak tersesat. Anda tidak diperbolehkan menambahkan bahan atau herbal sendiri. Pria tersebut melakukannya sendiri tanpa mencicipi. Anda sebagai peserta hanya diperbolehkan mengaduk panci saja, tidak lebih. Akibat cara kerja yang semrawut ini, makanan tidak berasa atau gosong. Singkatnya, hemat waktu dan uang Anda dan lewati lokakarya

We thoroughly enjoyed our culinary experience at my pintu plate. Uncle khalid was incredibly welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable about the cuisine and history of malaysia and malay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time talking with him and cooking with him. The classes were reasonably priced, and we were able to learn the fundamentals of sambal and rendang, which we can then incorporate into a variety of dishes. Uncle, thank you so much!.

We booked a cooking lesson with 5 people and had a really good day. Khalid was very friendly and explained all kinds of things about history and flavours. He really took his time which was nice.
