Hotel ini cukup dekat dengan kawasan Kota Lama Semarang, cukup berjalan kaki sekitar 400- 500 meter, terutama saat pagi dan malam hari, Kota Lama sangat indah. Kamar cukup nyaman, hanya saja AC-nya langsung mengarah ke tempat tidur, sehingga saat tiduran, arah angin AC-nya langsung kena badan, jika bisa diperbaiki agar tidak mengarah langsung ke tempat tidur. Layanan check-in dan check-out sangat cepat dan ramah, sarapannya juga cukup enak, meskipun sedikit variasinya, mungkin bisa ditambahkan sedikit variasinya. Tempat parkir mobil agak terbatas, tetapi ada layanan valet gratis, mobil dapat dipindahkan jika ada tempat kosong di dalam.

Pertama kali menginap di sini. Pilih Surya Boutique Hotel karena tepat di pusat kota dan dekat dengan Stasiun Tawang. Saat pertama kali datang, pelayanan sangat ramah. Kamar dan kamar mandi cukup luas untuk tipe Deluxe. AC dingin dan fasilitas lainnya sangat bagus. Mungkin perlu sedikit perbaikan dalam ketersediaan sarapan. Karena sistem prasmanan, orang yang sarapan terlebih dahulu bebas mengambil tanpa memikirkan tamu lain. Akhirnya, saat kami turun, sudah banyak yang habis. Kami menginap 3 malam di sana.
