Very comfortable and lovely clean room, well equipped and very cozy. The staff is very helpful when asked about attractions and very caring about ones safety. Huge restaurant downstairs, balcony, nice small pool on my floor.

Pro It is a good place, a few blocks from the metro. The restaurant on site was good, and the price was reasonable. Mattress was like a stack of cardboard with a sheet over it. The property needs some maintenance. I was taken to room 202, which had an open rusty hole where the tub spout should have been. They transferred me to room 505, which is right in the elevator lobby. Thats okay unless other visitors talk loudly. The staff was a bit spooky. As the Arlo Guthrie tune says, this train has lost the disappearing railroad blues.

First off, the hotel staff is the greatest ever. I am patient with Spanishlanguage learners. Just an excellent, excellent hotel staff. To start, the hotel is a great value overall and is in el centre without being in the middle of the madding crowd it is south and west of the main commercial district. The rooms are fairly basic and sparsely decorated. but clean. Bathrooms might use some updating, especially shower stalls, but even if they are passable. And they add some charm to the room. Security could probably be better, meaning that there should be a small safe in each room or a functional larger safe behind the front desk where customers can keep things like passports, candor tablets, candor jewelry. Another consideration should be to improve the pool area a bit, put out some plastic lounge chases, give the pool a dose of heat in winter, etc. I would probably stay again upon returning to Guadalajara.
