Our name comes from the combination of the Mayan words Kiin, meaning "Days, " and Wayeb, "transformation of time. " This refers to the shortest month in the Mayan calendar (Haab), which lasts only 5 days and accompanies the 18 winal (months) of 20 days each, completing the 365-day cycle.
In Mayan culture, this 5-day period, called "WAYEB, " was dedicated to spirituality, relaxation, and reflection, distancing ourselves from things that harm us in the material realm. During these days, greater attention is paid to family and community relationships and harmony with all natural elements.
