Seen this hotel on last visit so decided to book a few nights on this visit. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel as an elegant feel about it, the gardens and pool are lovely. As it was warm we ate ourside at the restaurant, we chose to eat in the hotel because its prices were competitive with what was on offer in town. The food was lovely, well cooked and well presented. Continental breakfast was a good start to the day. Our superior king room was spacious and overlooked the garden. We usually book apts but this change to a hotel was a lovely experience, would book again when in hanmer springs

Excellent 3 days in Hanmer Springs. Historic hotel was well run and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and our dinner in the hotel restaurant was tasty and affordable. Hanmer Springs is a great place for spending a few days

Very pleased with Hanmer Springs and this lovely old hotel. Ground floor room with a patio. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was tight and with the toilet a tight space behind the door … probably impossible a fit for obese people. A very nice pool and walks around the grounds. We ate in and were very pleased with the range of wines and beers. In particular we were very impressed with our meals of Lamb shank & Belly pork. The continental breakfast was fine and plentiful and certainly a good start to the day. Hanmer Springs Hotel is central to a spectacular resort and we were glad we booked it
