Lovely B&B with a fabulous host. The host went our of her way to make us feel welcome. She is an executive chef and we did one of her dinners. It was fantastic. The rooms are quiet and the bed very comfortable. Lovely place. We hope to visit again.

Exceptional boutique hotel - themed rooms and bathroom - comfortable house with excellent host. Dinner is by request but it is sumptuous - Rachel is a wonderful and creative chef. Martinborough is a lovely town - small and flatland with numerous restaurants, bars, shops and surrounded by many enjoyable vineyards. Olive Oil groves are nearby too.

The breakfast was great and the bed was great and comfortable. The room was average. There is no light shade on the central light and only one bedside lamp. But rachel got me another. The assure was a small assure which was nice and warm, and the water worked well. However, having a rain shower head meant there was no way to shower without getting your hair wet. Also no shower caps were supplied. I could have asked, but I shouldn't have given it to me. Other breakfast was great and tasty in a continental manner. Fresh juice, freshly baked goodies, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, and bread are all beautifully presented. Coffee is also expertly served. Overall, I had a great time, and rachel runs a great business, but I got the impression that she was a little worn out and had to go out for dinner.

Rachel was the perfect host. Very knowledgeable and always helpful. She cooked an incredible dinner for us. Location is good for walking to town and a number of cellar doors.

To commemorate our wedding anniversary, my wife and I spent an amazing weekend with our lovely host rachael. We had originally intended to share the journey with a few other couples, but owing to cancellations and emergency, we ultimately ended up being the only pair, so we hired rachael as our individual guide and chef for the weekend. To be honest, I think we would have been disappointed given the cost if we had just reserved the lodge as our lodging. Although the theme room was exquisitely appointed, it is just an average bungalow that has been refurbished to a not particularly high standard. The shower was not very practical, and the bathroom was small. However, having Rachel as our host, guide, and chef made the weekend extra special. The three winery tour, platter lunch under a spreading walnut tree, her introduction to olive oil tasting, and the pasta making course all impressed us. On Sunday night, she served a lovely course meal. Rachael rewarded us with a confit de canard for the main course after learning about our love of French cuisine. The brunches were basic but really nice, and rachael was a treasure of information for a foodie like me, and she was only too willing to share her expertise, which I really enjoyed, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend.

From the warm welcome to the leisurely conversations and snacks, it was more like staying with a new friend who lived to cook than a one night hotel transaction. The optional four-course meal (advance notice needed) and hands on pasta making (brilliant on a wet day) are strongly recommended. Planning our next visit already.

Beautiful room with a lovey comfortable bed. Nice glass of wine at 5pm along with beautiful canapés. The best continental breakfast the next morning. Pastries, coffee, muesli, fruit etc. Highly recommend that. Easy 10 minute walk to the square.

Rachel made our hotel stay feel like we were staying with a good friend rather than in a hotel. The environment is beautiful and the animals are great company too, it felt so easy and relaxed. Rachel made us delicious canapes and spritzes to die for each night she recommended some great wineries to visit too. It was an extremely relaxing weekend and the Morocco room is stunning. Loved the sprawling garden and had a peek at other rooms which were also beautifully decorated. Will definitely go back. Next time I will book Rachel dinner.

We spent a wonderful vacation in this beautifully renovated villa to celebrate our anniversary. We felt very at ease and at home thanks to Rachel the hostess. She is also a talented chef, and she cooked us a delicious four-course gourmet dinner. We felt a complete break from daily life.
