This is the place for you if you are travelling with your camping wagon or caravan. This place is very family friendly and offers a great environment for jogging or walking in the woods. The place is very quiet and peaceful but close to the city.

This month, I only spent a night at the Atlantean Apartments, which is advertised on application. By norwegian standards, it is a primarily basic motel that provides affordable lodging. The property provides Wi-Fi, a laundry facility in a common area, parking right outside your apartment, and a reasonable range of priced breakfast. We reserved a typical apartment, which is very basic and seems very different from all the photos on application. The standard apartment offers a loft that can accommodate 3 adults, and a ground-floor apartment with a bunk bed. Kristiansund has nothing to offer. For most, stopping over on a road trip, which was the case for us. This property is fine if you are looking for a value-for-money pit stop.

The rooms are small and basically equipped. One must climb over the other to use the double. The sheets are clean. Pillows are a little too flat. Breakfast is ok. No evening meal, and the town is a 20 minute walk by motorbike, so it's difficult to pop out. A good place to stop when passing through and at a reasonable price.

The mattress was surprisingly comfy. The room was very clean and I liked that you could open the window and let fresh air in. It felt more homey thanks to the communal kitchen and living space down the hall, as well as plenty of fridge space for your own food. The negative sides are the poor location, especially when all the road construction is going on nearby. It was not ideal to stay in without a vehicle. Also it is very noisy you can hear other guests walking up and down the hallways in the evenings and early mornings as well as the noise from cars pulling into the driveways. The room was not ideal for a double bed I would have preferred a single bed to fit my belongings without having to climb over them between the bed and the bathroom.
