My son and I were able to swim in the ford from the built-in pier. Food is very expensive in Norway.

We stayed here for one night in a camping cabin on our way from Bergen to Jotunheimen national park. The location next to the ford was the main attraction as we spent most of our time on the porch looking at the rain and changing clouds over the fjord. The cabin was simple and had an Ikea sleeper couch that could fit 2 people. There was no running water but the spigot was right next door. I used the refrigerator to freeze my cooler ice packs. Check out was noon and was a nice surprise so we had a nice lazy morning. It was simple and simple lodging that suited our needs. There are a few drawbacks the price was a little high for a cabin without certain amenities but you are paying for the location. Also, you need bedding for the cabin. Wifi is available at reception but didn't reach our cabin. But when in Norway, we chose not to have a cell phone data plan! Oh, the bakery across the street also made our lazy latecheckout morning quite memorable warm drink and freshly baked pastries on the porch!.

We reserved one of the waterfront cabins on the water's edge. The view towards the stunning Sognefjord is fantastic. The cabin itself was clean, a fairly comfortable couch that folds out as a twinkle although for a tall dutchie it's a little tiny. It had the standard kitchen equipment found in most norwegian camping cabins. The heater was a nice touch, which we liked because it was air conditioning at night. It also included a shared bedroom on the water's edge. What else would you need? One of my highlights was getting up on the dock with coffee and staring at this wonderful view.

This isn't our first time staying at this lovely camping location after a wonderful day at Jotunheimen National Park. It is situated on the water's edge and on a stunning fjord. You can camp or rent a cabin. We had cabin number 7, which is small but can sleep four people very comfortable and is situated on the water with an unbeatable view of the fjord. The cabin itself is very cozy and beautiful decorated, and a very tiny kitchen gives everything you need. Excellent value for money. At check-in, we were very warm and the campsite itself is well-kept with a good-looking showertoiletkitchen building. Perfect base for many local sightseeing activities!.

We got a lovely view of the fjord from our small cabin. But the cabin itself was only nice but not great. We had to clean it completely before leaving, and there were no cloths to do that. And no blankets were provided. Did the doonasduvets have cover. Does the bed linen and blankets even get washed?.
