El Lido is very expensive compared to other places in the Philippines and we struggled to find a mediocre hotel in our price range so I would have paid more for something better if I knew how bad this place would be. The location was ok not too far to walk into town but limited good restaurants nearby. Main issues the water was borewater and really stinky so no refreshing shower. Rooms had bugs my daughter woke up covered in bites. Doors were hard to lock and we were paranoid from other traveller reported theft. Breakfast was terrible. Our room faced directly into the next hotel, very dirty and dusty outside, no terrace or entryway to dry clothes, hang out, leave shoes etc. Poor wifi in rooms. On the plus side they cleaned the room every day and the staff were friendly.
