We stayed in this Hostel for 5 nights ! The staff and the owner is very very nice . There's a kitchen in the hostel so you can cook whatever you want. You can even buy drinks snacks from outside and bring inside the Hostel !. There's lots of beautiful paintings painted by the Owner ! The lot is very spacious, quit and lots of plants perfect for relaxtion! Everytime we go out for a tour, we're always surprised everytime we get back to the hostel because the staff already cleaned our room while we're away having a tour ! I really like the owner sir Ninio, on our last day i ask the staff if i can extend till 6pm because our flight back home is 10:55pm, check out is 12nn and you can only extend till 3pm, so the staff ask the owner if i can extend till 6pm, guess what ? Sir Ninio the owner said it's fine and he will not charge me from 3pm to 6pm! . If you're looking for a place to stay in Samal ! This is the perfect place for you, budget friendly not expensive and you can cook whatever you want and the beach is just 2mins walk from the hostel . I will be coming back to this place again for sure !! . Thank you Sir Ninio and the Staff Lanny and others . 🙏

The property is tidy, quiet, surrounded by greenery. Although its adjacent to the beach, the area is not for public. Rooms are functional with all basic amenities, includes a balcony/sitout also. No restaurants nearby but thats the case with most areas of Samal. The island itself is a relatively unexploited, less touristy, very green, lovely roads to ride/drive. Overall a good stay. They have shared kitchen in case you want to cook yourself. The host is very helpful for all needs.

I normally stay in beachfront resorts, but when my friend suggested I try this hostel. In my head, if my diva friend liked this facility, I could enjoy it too. The location is not a beachfront resort, so you have to know this if you are just a beachfront person. If you don't have a car, you can ride tricycles to the beach front for a very low price. There is a dog named Yukie here who may even accompany you if you want. Anyway, the hostel is rather new. My room had air conditioning, a very comfortable bed, and a hot shower. There is no television wifi because the hostel urges you to disconnect. If you want wifi, like me right now while I'm writing this exact review, you have to walk to the common area where you can enjoy a selfservice breakfast. They gave me corn coffee which was very nice. Then, there are two bathrooms in each shared rooms, and bunk beds with their own reading lights. The deluxe room is also quite amazing. The artwork is stunning. Despite the fact that the location advertises itself as a hostel, I can say that it is a hybrid of a hotel and a hostel. Ive seen hostels in Vancouver that made me want to barf. This hostel has impressed me tremendously. Very clean. incredibly wellkept.

I stayed in Guyabano room. There is no television in the room, but there is a communal area in the restaurant seating. Signaling for mobile devices in Jamal is challenging. I am so glad they have wifi. a relaxing place.

This place is recommended for families and Barada who enjoy exploring Jamal Island. This place has an excellent ambiance for rest and relaxation, especially for us who just came from a hard climb in it. Ao. It's advantageous to have an open kitchen so you can prepare whatever you like. I like the idea of cleaning your own dish because it promotes kitchen discipline. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It's like you've come home to a family. The personnel are warm and accommodating.

We only intend to stay for 2 nights. Just to rest after our tour in Jamal. But we love the place so we extend the stay to another night. The staff and owners are helpful. They always ask what we need and suggest where the best places to explore in Jamal. They let us use their kitchen for free.

My wife and I and friends visited Jamal Island in June for diving and discovery. We chose La Vida from the reviews. And they are right. The island is large and the activities are spread out. I do recommend driving as it is a necessity. And the corn coffee is wonderful.

I like it here because the staff were friendly and accomodating, the guests were free to cook their meals.. I dont like because there is no cabite where the guests can hang their clothings and there was no slippers to be used by the guests inside the room
