A fantastic place to stay with lovely cottages, a pool, bar, restaurant and delightful gardens with lots of birds. Andre and his family and staff provide us with really helpful and friendly service definitely going the extra mile for us. Dinner is a set menu but you can ask for an alternative. The chicken pie may be the best chicken pie I have ever eaten.

Will definitely stay there again when I am in Newcastle. Excellent accommodation clean and comfortable. The food was excellent be prepared to put on a few kilograms during your stay! The hospitality was fantastic.

When you enter the property it feels like something out of a Harry Potter book, it really is beautiful and lush.The grounds are of old world and so peaceful. Great service and super friendly staff. Honesty bar on premises.The breakfast is amazing and nothing was ever too much for them. Beautiful place

Friendly staff, quick check-in. Nice to have the bar next to the pool. You can use the braai facilities, you just arrange the hire of it with reception.

All in all, a very enjoyable experience. What a delight it is to experience the old fashioned welcome to a lovely site and garden in the forest while still having wifi in the room, a desk with enough light to work comfortably and a lovely hot shower. Dinner must be arranged were delicious and when it turned cold the fireplace was lovely and cozy. The local cats made me feel very at home, but if you're not a cat person, don't be concerned. If you can, get a room with a balcony like the log cabins so you can spend time birdwatching on your own while sipping a drink from the honesty bar.

It was a lovely stay. The rooms are warm and comfortable for winter, there is a generator so we can at least watch and the breakfast the next morning is good.

They served wonderful food. The staff was so friendly and friendly. They provide a clean and comfortable room. The large open area had lots of greenery. The bathroom had nice seating. Don't be in the middle of the city, you can take a break from the city and just relax.

On arrival reservation which even with reservation in my wallet they disputed gave us an upgrade to a supposed luxury suite as it rained the roof leaked poured in moved to simple chalet room seemed very disorganised no evening meals at weekends they ordered a pizza which was awful. Breakfast ok nice setting that’s all
