Despite the lack of visitors owing to the caviar, the lodge is in top shape. The personnel was very friendly. Wendy the manageress is a charming and great asset to the lodge. The supper was basic but tasty. The brunch was also wonderful and there was a wide selection available. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Royal Thai Safari Lodge.

It's a nice place. In march 2022, we spent three nights at this lovely lodge. The receptionists were warm and welcoming, and they took our luggage to our room. After a day-round park visit, the bed provides a restful nights sleep. Both breakfasts and the evening meal prepared by Siboniso were excellent. The park is about a 5-minute drive from the lodge. It was excellent to take a cool dip in the afternoon in the lovely pool. We will stay at this lodge again since I can highly suggest it.

What a fantastic location! My parents and my partner stayed here for two nights at the beginning of march. We had a great time! Wendy the manager welcomed us warmly and friendlyly, and the lodge is stunning and tidy. She is a great person. incredibly welcoming and cheerful. Its a lovely location. We had the entire hotel to ourselves and also had game drives. We went on two game drives a day of our choice, and one was included in our package, which was ample, but we were making an effort to maximize our time in the park because my family had traveled all the way from the uk to visit me in Sa. Our guide was lovely and pleasant, he didn't tell us much and did not learn much, but he was a nice guy and got us some really amazing sightings. On one of our drives, we saw two of their famous tuckers in just a half-hour view. Stunning setting. Plenty of elephants at the shelter on the first night, and all the others after. The lodge provided lunch and dinner, and the meals were all excellent, lots of food, and you won't be hungry. A wonderful set up. Beautiful bird sounds and occurrences throughout the hotel, which my father enjoyed. Wonderful boardwalks. I had a fantastic experience, especially while staying at the Royal Thong Safari Lodge, right next to the theme elephant park between Join and Koi Bay. It's close to Sambo and Mozambique. My heart pounding. We were so at ease when I saw the elephants, I was full of adrenaline! We love Zululand because of it's wildlife on both land, sea, and in the lakes. The hospitality was very impressive. The staff was very attentive and caring.

Wendy and her team were amazing friendly, helpful and service orientated We experienced excellence at all levels and will definitely come back to experience beautiful nature, great food and visit the friends we made at the lodge!.

About Royal Thonga Safari Lodge

Offering a garden and a terrace, Royal Thonga Safari Lodge is located in Tembe Elephant Park, home to the Big Five. Free private parking is available on-site.
