My hubby and I flew from East London to attend a funeral. Found the accommodation comfortable being a large room, bath and shower and a nice breakfast. Situated fairly close to the airport without the hustle and bustle of being central. If we had to travel in that direction again we would definitely make use of the accommodation again

Our room was directly on the street. Very noisy, dark, there aren't enough electrical outlets for wiring and charging electronic appliances. Ants, dust, broken door. Window paint is required. However, the bathroom is lovely. Good hot shower of a decent size. Breakfast was also good. The location is very dark, I'm aware that it's ancient, but maybe some sky lights would be helpful. The walls' dark hues don't help. At least in the dining room, good coffee. Along with all the typical cheap instant sachets, a plunger and ground coffee were provided. The staff made a lot of effort to resolve our complaints about the lack of electricity outlets and insufficient extension cords. The two-seater couch and the carpet in the room were filthy. That was undesirable given how old the box type was. Wifi was available, but it didn't go off in the evening, and we had to ask them to reset it. Something about reaching their limit? Or less often not stable? Not good. Sorry, guys. What we have provided is either pricey or unacceptable.

Negatives the room is in poor condition in terms of maintenance, walls, painting, not nice. Notice that there are no heaters, so either you freeze or be hot. In my case I stayed for 4 nights with about ac, so I froze. Towels need to be remodeled, furniture such as sofa is too dirty. Cleaning is an issue. The room was full of dead ants all over it, the management is aware but does host guests there anyway, really unacceptable. Positive: Breakfast is ok, the location is not bad, the bed is comfortable and the person is friendly. Rooms are self-catered, so the sofa area and microwave, fridge, etc are separated from the bed. There are things that management should look into, such as cleaning, painting, and room climate choices, while others, like the ants issue, cannot accept or accommodate guests until it is resolved. Wouldn't recommend this place.

We were really satisfied with this place, and I would strongly recommend it to other travelers. Here, we stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. We were all placed in one large unit because we were traveling with my mother and were all placed in one, interconnected unit if necessary. Our room was huge with an even larger bathroom and my mothers room was a reasonable size with an adequate bathroom. A kitchen was placed in the middle of the two rooms. Although the kitchen had the basics, it could have used a sharp knife and bottle opener to stock up on the basics. Because there was no table in the apartment itself, each room also had an outside dining area. Since my mother's outdoor space was bigger, we were there. Breakfast was delicious and included the usual cereal, yogurt, fruit salad, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, sausages, and others. The staff was outstanding, and any problems we encountered were quickly resolved.

A charming and well-kept classic very old house, claimed to be the oldest in Ednvale's wooden floors and all, has been converted into a very satisfactory guest house. Large suites are well appointed, comfortable, and a satisfying breakfast. Reasonable rates make for good value.

The Kamberg suite had a terrible stench of stale cigarette smoke and the other room did not smell much better, the air conditioner was not working, no remote control. Hence we did not check-in to the establishment. Terrible experience and now we have to go the legal route to get refunded.
